Confessions of a long-time lemming

Ok many of you used to know me as a huge lem, sucking Bill Gates's $@!% on multiple occassions, making a fool of myself mocking other consoles and declaring my own superior. Now I've realized the futility of that argument, the pointlessness of that position. The Xbox 360 is not the best platform for games.

It's the PC.

The PC is truly home of the hardcore. True gamers play real, serious games (not WoW) like Stalker: SoC, World in Conflict, CS:S, Total War games, Crysis, and a BUTTLOAD of other AAA titles. Its hard to imagine owning only a console and thinking you're a true gamer. I used to be so jaded I thought that the 360 was as capable as a gaming PC. God DAMN was I wrong.

So take it from me, a guy who used to be 100% Lemming, and who would now consider himself to be about 80% Hermit, 15% Lemming, and 5% wtf only losers classify their gaming tastes. PC Gaming is superior. Hands down. Every time. Being able to play a game split screen doesn't make up for the fact that console gaming is stuck 5 years in the past.

My rig is hooked up to my big ol' LCD TV, I have wireless KB/M, and its just as enjoyable/relaxing to sit down on the couch with as a controller. I can do it all from here: work, play, watch movies, listen to music, you name it a PC can do it.

So guys, just realize how silly it looks when people keep starting threads about "Konsole GarfiX king??" or "2009 yeer of dA Pee eSS THREE!!1". What you're doing is pointless and foolish. ALL BOW TO THE MIGHT OF THE PC!

One of my pet peeves. All 360's play the games the same, all PC's, not so much. For me it's important to distinguish that PC gamers with the very best rigs > those with average rigs. :P

PC imo, is a waste of money. 360 is a better alternative, cheaper, graphics almost as good, bigger library of quality titles, don't need to updates constantly, isn't as big (size), Simplistic, pop in and play, etc. You don't have to worry about compatibility issues, random error's. Console are made for gaming, pure and simple. Just the way i look at it. Eyezonmii

To Eyezonmii....You do know that the PC is pretty much "generation-less" right? The 360 will be discontinued at one point, the PC not so much.

some people just prefer playing on console ometimes people prefer playing on pc, some people like portable gaming. personally, i can afford the best gaming rig but doesnt mean i want one.shsonline

I think a "real gamer" by definition gives all platforms a chance and finds things to like in all of them, it's more often than not the casual crowd who feels the need to emphasize whatever platform they currently own over all others.Andrew_Xavier

You do realize that screenshots are different than actual gameplay? Screenshots don't do this game justice, and I'm pretty sure you haven't played it either. Nice try though. You almost squeezed out of that one.
