Switch will sell better than Wii U, but that isn't a high bar to reach.

Even 20 million would be just a GameCube-level "success".

Switch is absolutely NOT what I wanted the "NX" to be.

Zelda is awesome, but that's it.

MK8 Deluxe? OK

Well that is literally a lie from Nvidia then, and it is disappointing. They said it was a custom chip. I don't think the slight adjustments like elements turned off would count.

I had little hope it had an X2 chip so it's not a massive deal I guess.

And I have to say that not having the Pascal chip is dumb. I know that issue is old at this point, but they'd have less heat issues with it, so they could have better clocks and/or better battery life. That's my understanding of the difference anyway.

Maybe the price was just too much, or the timing was all off.

Does this make Spawn Wave wrong or misleading about the X2 chip being in the system if I recall correctly?

I don't see why that makes him misleading at all. All he ever did was reference rumours out there, and give his own opinion. The fact that he was anticipating the xray for so long shows that he acknowledged the uncertainty around it.

The problem will be no third party support since it won't be able to handle the big games...sound familiar?

and the price, add a game and a pro controller lol

way too much...Having fun with zelda though, same game on Wii U

The official name of that chip is Tegra Parker, not Tegra X2. It wasn't ready for mass production in a consumer product by the time Switch launched.

so did they keep the cortex A53 cores or are they just disabled to improve yields? if it has 4 of those then why is one of the A57s reserved for the OS?

Definitely not surprising here. I mean it is Nintendo after all. It is however disappointing. It may come to mind that maybe Nintendo could do a Switch Pro with updated specs? I mean Apple and Samsung do it with their products and great example is the PS4 Pro. Nintendo did it before with the 3DS so I can se them in two years releasing a Pro version of the Switch
