Eh...
This! http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/890/890276p1.html
Actually,we haven't wait much. We got a Mario, a Metroid, a Zelda, a Smash Brothers, a Pokémon, a Mario Kart, and even a Paper Mario. Even some nice surprises, like a RE4, a Z&W and a NMH.

I think people underestimate the Motion Plus. What they want is a whole load of epic game trailers. Keep in mind that a lot of devs, shortly before E3 was toned down, were saying that they spent too much time making trailers, and not enough time on games. Maybe Nintendo just isn't willing to make the effort to create trailers.

More games, less hardware
Wii Plus is no more than the Wii mote+Six axis controller.
It's just another Gimmick that Sony tried and the Wii will now take over it.
It's still a gimmick.
kingman03
Wait, what? I don't quite get what you're saying. Six-Axis has motion sensing inferior to the Wii-motes, whereas the Motion Plus has real, precise, 1:1 motion.

To me it looks like an add-on to make it act like the six-axis does. You twist your wrist and it reacts like that in real-time, just as the six-axis would, but now Nintendo took that idea and added it to the wii-mote. That's just what it looks like to me.
If you can maybe you should explain in more detail what exactly the motion-plus remote is/does besides help you throw a Frisbee to your virtual pet dog.

Reading many posts here you would think they are too excited for Wii music or something. I thought the PS3 was the wait forever machine. darkplayerCompared to Nintendo, Sony has been doing a greater job, the PS3 is getting a lot of cool multiplats AND it has gotten/will get some nifty exclusives. While for Nintendo, nobody is doing it right, 3rd parties are disappointing and Nintendo is just looking all casual now, not much of AAA materials. PS3 still has lots of cool games coming *soon* and that have been demonstrated like LittleBigPlanet, Tekken 6 & Killzone 2. Not to mention the multiplats, which can't be played on Wii for the most part. Wii has SMG, MP3 and Brawl, that came out around a year or more ago, no sign for any good game coming in the near future.

The technology in the motion plus is fairly advanced and it wouldn't have been in a viable state for use by 2005. The multi-axis gyroscope was typically used in car stability control systems and so it would have taken alot of work to both shrink it down to size and reduce it's power consumption.

Oh, come on, man. You can't seriously believe they couldn't have included it at launch.
It's just like DS3 for PS3 or Sony saying they'd been working on the motion controls for the Sixaxis for years when they really just stole it from Nintendo as soon as they unveiled the Wiimote.
This is just a new way to make money. I'm not saying it's bad, it looks really cool, I just think that if they really wanted to, they could have done it at launch.

Here's the link to the press release from Invensense which details the some of the lengths they went to, to adapt their technology to the wii remote. http://kotaku.com/5025650/how-exactly-does-the-wiis-motionplus-work
Whatever the case after re-watching the video of the M+ in use I'm extremely excited for it's next application in a full game. 1-1 sword control in Zelda would be amazing 8)

That's nice... doesn't really change anything though. Like I said, looks good, but it could have been there earlier. Just a new way to make money and since it looks so cool, it looks like they'll get their wish.

Knowing Nintendo they probably didn't want to charge $80 for their controller at launch when they could be that much more profitable later on...
I agree with you man in everything you say
they said it was about gameplay not graphics, i dont see how the wii is not able to come up with good new games, i am fine i dont want HD, but its games is nothing near things like gears of war, mgs4, fable, all these big titles , why cant we have titles like these on the wii but with out HD graphics am fine with that?
all we get is shovelware, remakes, and the usual mario and partners. Ok mario is good and so is zelda, but its about time we see different type of games. Think of RE4 for gamecube, eternal darkness, killer 7, you know good attempts for big shots in the videogame industry, not aiming for second line. NONE of the games released for the wii is considered to be a leading in market sales that funny because first time in history the most selling console is not getting that type of games. Its like back then, GTA FF GT MGS are all released for gamecube and the ps2 is getting kiddy games like wiiplay, it just doesnt make sense. The wii has largest user base and it even has a cool motion control option that should be used....but no, we get games with graphics like for a handheld, what should i say to a console that its top selling game is wiiplay!!
i share your pain man,
if this continue , I think the gamecube would be a better console. Yes this sold more and made more money, but talk about game quality wise...Zelda is shared, metroid was originally gamecube game, super smash is only improved game, the only thing really better and new is mario galaxy...
everything else is a port, shovelware, remake, or a 20 year old franchise with nothing new.
