CONFIRMED: U3 beta graphics were NOT downscaled for smaller DL size.

The finished product will be on par with Gear's as the best looking console title. (I'd say Crysis on the Xbox won, but eh)

Crysis 2 looks better than Gears 3 I agree.

1) Implying that graphics REALLY matter on 5 year old hardware

2) Implying that Uncharted is popular solely for it's graphics

3) Implying that a Beta is an accurate representation of a final product

4) Completely ignoring the video posted in this thread showing that the graphics are OBVIOUSLY improved.

The PS3 has hit it peak, I played the uncharted 3 beta and it wasn't all that great

Gears 3 is the best looking TPS on consoles

The Witcher 2 looks to be the best looking RPG on consoles

Rage is the best looking FPS on consoles

Red Dead Redemption 360 version is the best looking open-world game on consoles

The PS3 dosen't really excell in anything, it's got Blu-Ray if that mean's anything

Oh noes it doesn't have the best of the best graphics, heaven forbid that we actually start focusing on GAMEPLAY!

So.. Cristophe Balestra confirmed today via his twitter that the beta graphics were not downscaled -as some people here assumed- to make the download size smaller.. When he was asked: "Is it true that you downscaled the graphics (i.e. low-res textures) of the U3 beta, to keep the download size small?" He replied: "absolutely not." FlailingFire

Ouch, fans of Uncharted and myself just took a large hit. I'm a bit disappointed.
