You can do all that on pc...

- Play on your HD TV

- Play with a controller

- Sit on the couch while you play

- Play with friends

Seems like every thread from TC is a anti pc thread or talking down on the witcher series.

though the only one that's truly keeping up with a console being a party console is the Wii.tagyhag
+1, and that is why I have a Wii. I personally think Kinect is solid too and i'm thinking about getting one, MS should focus more on it.

Oh, and splitscreen. I know some of you consider this an outdated form of gaming, but I absolutely love it. Even this generation, what makes games like Resistance really enjoyable is playing the campaign with a friend - splitscreen!
Splitscreen has been there forever. I've been playing Super Mario Kart on the SNES, Twisted Metal 2 on the PS1, Conflict games on the PS2. It's thefun factor that mainly puts the console ahead of the PC.

Haha , nice console hype here. It could easily be an advertisement.... Now my question is :... Why cant you hook up your PC into your HDTV and play with your friends or soulmate exactly the same as you would play with a console? Pads ,couch , relax, fun etc? I dont get some people. Pretty funny post

i hate sharing my screen with other people i find it extremely stupid. i prefer playing with them online as everybody has their own setup, music etc.

Not too mention the horrible framerate drops you get... L4D2 for instance has some horrible framerate drop when you're running split screen while online.

Many friends and couples also like playing mmos together. Splitscreen is nice but it's becoming more and more irrelevant.

What's more important; a few dropped frames, or sharing a game with a friend?

Considering there are whole families that play WOW and many couples meet through WOW and are married on it (sad I know). I would still say PC wins.

Also these generic photographs from Nintendo and Sony isnt convincing anyone, I remember when the wii first came out, me and my friends played it for a while then it remained untouched and never played again.

Horrible is such an overstatement. I played the 360 version religiously, and usually always in split-screen, either with my younger brother, younger sister, or college roomate, and there hardly any noticeable framerate drops.

To hell with Halo, L4D, Super Smash Bros, SC2, TF2 anything. Dance Central is THE game to play with friends 8)
