though the only one that's truly keeping up with a console being a party console is the Wii.tagyhag+1, and that is why I have a Wii. I personally think Kinect is solid too and i'm thinking about getting one, MS should focus more on it.
Oh, and splitscreen. I know some of you consider this an outdated form of gaming, but I absolutely love it. Even this generation, what makes games like Resistance really enjoyable is playing the campaign with a friend - splitscreen!
Splitscreen has been there forever. I've been playing Super Mario Kart on the SNES, Twisted Metal 2 on the PS1, Conflict games on the PS2. It's thefun factor that mainly puts the console ahead of the PC.
i hate sharing my screen with other people i find it extremely stupid. i prefer playing with them online as everybody has their own setup, music etc.Oh, and splitscreen. L4D2 for instance has some horrible framerate drop when you're running split screen while online.[QUOTE="metalgear-solid"]

Horrible is such an overstatement. I played the 360 version religiously, and usually always in split-screen, either with my younger brother, younger sister, or college roomate, and there hardly any noticeable framerate drops.
To hell with Halo, L4D, Super Smash Bros, SC2, TF2 anything. Dance Central is THE game to play with friends 8)
