graphics are not all about textures, i have yet to see one title for x360 that have next-gen animations like in Uncharted and other titles or physics from LBP.

You cant just spill tons of textures and then call it a next-gen, lol.

There are many other categories that make up graphics.

Yeah but animation is not a measure of how powerful a console is. It is simply shows the attention to detail of the dev. Textures, bump mapping, AA, screen res, AF and HDR all tend to be deciding factors.

However, I would argue textures are one of the more important catagories.

Gears of War 2 looks fantastic and a lot of fanboys aren't giving it enough credit. However, after playing the Resistance 2 beta today, I must say I prefer its graphics over those found in GeoW 2. They look great, plus the game is vibrantly colored. It's extremely pleasing to the eye.

Far Cry 2> Gears 2

Just looking at the sheer scale of the game and it still having amazing textures like the rist on the tin roofs beats it. The only thing I dont find overly impressive are the character models. For that reason:

MGS4>Far Cry 2> Gears 2> Resistance 2

Gears and Resistance are somewhat interchangeable, but I gave gears the nod for its art style.

Will you guys STOP posting them, they're fake, whether or not they were realtime to start with you are lying if you say it looks like that; the 360 isn't capable.

I concur. When im playing GEARS2 (in 3 weeks) i'm looking for somthing that is more impressive than the San Fran map in R2. I was looking up at hundreds of ships flying over the map in deathmatch and got spliced!!

Gears 1 > MGS 4 in graphics. Saying you have played both these games, I don't know how you can say that MGS 4 looks better graphically than Gears 1. Then, you have to be a fanboy. Uncharted better than gears?? Almost Everybody, gaming critics, agrees that GEars 1 was a masterpiece, but not about uncharted. Gears 1 > Uncharted, if we count them... He isn't lieing im in the beta as well. I haven't seen any GEARS2 footage that's more impressive than that San Fran map in R2. Hundreds of small ships while motherships cruise over the map is sick.

About them being bullshots.

Looks like jacked up AA+AF, and seeing as how it's from Epic. Overlords of the bullshot I'm inclined to not take them at face value.

Something really confuses me about the screens, it's as if the game has the weirdest lighting system ever or they photoshopped in some shadows in weird places. Wrong places.

Well you probably never played Gears if you think so or you are a fanboy.

The cave level clearly shows that Gears 2 has graphical and technical improved alot.

The environments are far richer and more detailes and there are many physics which Gears didnt had

For example water looks way better and it has great physics, which Gears didnt have, the mushrooms and all this stuff is interactive, they move even when you touch them, there are bugs birds lots of animals and every tree and all other stuff of nature and environments are moving which did not move in Gears one, Gears had no movments, animals nothing like this, Gears 2 has alot more stuff and even bigger environments, way better lightning, effects, there is much stuff more going on, more enemys and so on, sorry but people who can see this have problems with their eyes, have no idea about graphics or are just jealous fanboys.

Go pre-order the game at Gamestop, you should still be able to get in if they have any vouchers left. It states on the back of the voucher that you must input your code by the 22nd.

Its gone from a muddy greyish monochrome to a slightly better muddy greyish monochrome.
