1. cheaper
Cheaper, but you get less.
2. last you longer much longer just to keep up with the new games coming out you need to rebiuld your pc every 1.5 years
I haven't upgraded my pc in 2 years but it still can pull off better graphics than the consoles
3. local mulitplayer, you can play against your bro, sis, cousin, friend while sharing one consol
Not a huge advantage, also lan parties
4. it takes 5 sec to start and gaming much faster than pc which you have the switch on which takes age
My pc boots in less a minute and it takes a few seconds for Steam to launch a game
5. no virus specially in xbox 360
I use vista, and I have no viruses, and if you where so concerned about viruses you would be using linux/OSx
6. better controller for fighting games such as sf4 tekken and driving games such as forza
360 controller works fine with PC and there are tons of other controllers available
7. there is no advantages on console gaming like you have on PC such as in shooters you will win if you a better mouse or headset
Turbo button on console controllers gives people advantages in FPS games
8. you can relax sit on a couch eat some burgers while playing
I can with my PC as well
9. you are further away from the screen so your eyes wont be as damaged as you do on pc gaming
Calibrate your monitor, problem solved
10. exclusive games on the console.
Plenty of exclusives on PC
RealGameFan
Obvious troll/flamebait is obvious.
Not that the other points are all valid, but why would you want to eat while playing? I don't understand people who don't mind grabbing a controller (or, even worse, fiddling with a keyboard and mouse) with greasy hands. I always make sure people who intend to use my PC thoroughly wash their hands before doing so.the_deltaYikes. Are you actually at the sink with them to make sure they achieved maximum coverage of the hand soap?

1. Not buy much in the UK since PC games are half the price. and no microtransaction costs... let alone *other* alternatives for those that care.
2. Wrong. My PC cost £740 2 1/2 years ago plays all games max... except Crysis but Crysis is average anyway, + consoles dont look as good as a PC will by the nd of the generation so our point is moot.
3. So? Lans can share 2-100+ players, takes more effort but it better, local lan on consoles is crap, split screen is crap especially on small teles and in competitve games because you and your friends look at eachothers screens, I prefer other activities with friends, and play games with them online... when i cant be with them... no cheating, more emmerisive and another time killer. splitscreen is dead... and it wont be missed by me.
4. 5 sec? hah.... yea right, takes me 5 sec aswell on the PC ... I click an Icon and it starts up... magic...
5. Viruses are nothing... a big bunch of fail stereotypes.
6. Too bad I can use all controller devices including Wiimote, 360 controller and PS3 controllre on my PC....
7. lol whatever.... blame the player not the tools, same can be said for console and owners internet connection.
8. Im not a fat console kid.... im well postured and not 80 years old, sitting on seats and drinking/eating is identical for me, besides, you can see the screen better and concentrate better, being better and more immersed... but I guess being a lazy slob on a huge TV is better right?
9. Exclusive games on the PC aswell...
You really need to do some research before you post. I would trade my Xbox 360 for a PC any day. Sadly, I have a Mac. :(

Bootcamp.
Yikes. Are you actually at the sink with them to make sure they achieved maximum coverage of the hand soap?sexy_robot_manMore or less. :-)
I have an Imac, I do wish I had a PC in the house at times. I however had to be cool and get the hot looking computer. The system does run WOW like a champ and that is all I really care about. I do wish I could take advantage of the media streaming without a third party app however. I want a PC laptop.....I really do....You really need to do some research before you post. [QUOTE="sexy_robot_man"]Yikes. Are you actually at the sink with them to make sure they achieved maximum coverage of the hand soap?the_deltaMore or less. :-)It's cool. I cannot buy used games or take the front piece of merchandise at a store so we all have our quirks.
Why do people keep falling for these things? Their account is new and they run off as soon as they post this, obvious flame bait is obvious.
They really should restrict the ability for new accounts to make threads.
Yeah. PC = all kind of things, email, movies, reading, games Console = only for games So console specializes in games, PC does not. Therefore, console >DamageDamage
A pc can be whatever the uses wants it to be.
Then you're in the BEST position. I have a macbook pro... you just need to run Bootcamp or Parallels on it so that you can also run Windows... Assuming you have a recent model Mac w/ an Intel chip. You really need to do some research before you post. I would trade my Xbox 360 for a PC any day. Sadly, I have a Mac. :(

Decent Macs don't exist... they all have extremely outdated hardware.

1. cheaper - Not really2. last you longer much longer just to keep up with the new games coming out you need to rebiuld your pc every 1.5 years - If only that was the case
3. local mulitplayer, you can play against your bro, sis, cousin, friend while sharing one console - Sure
4. it takes 5 sec to start and gaming much faster than pc which you have the switch on which takes ages - It doesn't take "ages" o.O
5. no virus specially in xbox 360 - No viruses on any of my own PC's I've had for the last 5 years (I've only had my own PC for the last 5 years)
6. better controller for fighting games such as sf4 tekken and driving games such as forza 3 - You know you can hook up controllers to your PC right? Plus arcade sticks are compatible with the PC, so if you are using a controller for SF4 and Tekken then you're doing it wrong anyways.
7. there is no advantages on console gaming like you have on PC such as in shooters you will win if you a better mouse or headset - There is no advantages on console gaming? Ok, I'll give you that one.
8. you can relax sit on a couch eat some burgers while playing - You can do this on a PC too. You're not limited to playing your PC with a monitor at a computer desk. Not to mention you can eat a burger at your computer desk anyways. My chair is big and comfy, so I can relax here too.
9. you are further away from the screen so your eyes wont be as damaged as you do on pc gaming - That's a myth. You're eyes don't get damaged otherwise I'd be blind by now, or at least need glasses.
10. exclusive games on the console. - More AAAe and AAe on the PC am confirmedRealGameFan

Yet another reason why users with under a 100-post-count should NOT be allowed to create new topics. Every argument you put forth can be countered just by saying "you can also do that with a PC". Go eat some more burgers...
You sure about that? What the hell was the point of that post?[QUOTE="haze_blaze"] Not to mention that most of the 360's 'exclusives' end up on pc as well, with better graphics. mitu123

lolwtfbbq?
The high end stuff (tower macs of course) are awesome, and IIRC have multi processor support.
Being able to sport Dual Quad (or Octo even) core procesors, and having the ability to upgrade everything else is just as good as any windows PC.
1. cheaper
Not much.
2. last you longer much longer just to keep up with the new games coming out you need to rebiuld your pc every 1.5 years
Because it's impossible to turn down settings or just upgrade one part of your PC that is lacking, right? You have to build a new high end gaming rig every single year. Of course.
3. local mulitplayer, you can play against your bro, sis, cousin, friend while sharing one console
This is the one true one.
4. it takes 5 sec to start and gaming much faster than pc which you have the switch on which takes ages
Most people leave their computer on all day.
5. no virus specially in xbox 360
Don't download porn and keep your anti-virus up to date
6. better controller for fighting games such as sf4 tekken and driving games such as forza 3
Those same controllers work on the PC
7. there is no advantages on console gaming like you have on PC such as in shooters you will win if you a better mouse or headset
Okay, first of all, how do you win in a PC game by having a better headset?
Second of all, it's not like turbo-button controllers don't exist for consoles...
8. you can relax sit on a couch eat some burgers while playing
You can hook up a PC to a TV and use a controller, exact same way.
9. you are further away from the screen so your eyes wont be as damaged as you do on pc gaming

Dual processors is pretty awesome stuff, but their graphics cards are just downright abysmal. The best you can get is something like a 4850 (last time I checked). Not to mention that you could build a $500 PC that has the same specs as a $2000 Mac...

4850 is fine, especially if you have awesome hardware backing it up..
1. cheaper - Have fun saving on 60$ games which take a long time drop in price and paying for Live
2. last you longer much longer just to keep up with the new games coming out you need to rebiuld your pc every 1.5 years -Have fun waiting for your 360 to get back from RROD or PS3 from YROD oh and My pc is 3 years old and I'm run most games on hig,h fail
3. local mulitplayer, you can play against your bro, sis, cousin, friend while sharing one console-You can do that on a PC also :|
4. it takes 5 sec to start and gaming much faster than pc which you have the switch on which takes ages-Have fun swapping discs then! I'll enjoy just having to double click the game I want to play, oh and my comp just takes 2 mins to on, peopel this days are impatient
5. no virus specially in xbox 360-I haven't had a virus in YEARS it al depends if the user is responsible even if not thats what anti-viruses are for and at least my hardware doesn't fail on me *coughs*RROD*coughs
6. better controller for fighting games such as sf4 tekken and driving games such as forza 3-You can attach a controller to your pc
7. there is no advantages on console gaming like you have on PC such as in shooters you will win if you a better mouse or headset-Ever heard of the word "skill", its really fairer than on a console where "auto-aim assist" is the one getting the kills for you
8. you can relax sit on a couch eat some burgers while playing -And get your controller dirty and oily, oh and you can connect a computer to a HDTV and slouch on the couch if you want
9. you are further away from the screen so your eyes wont be as damaged as you do on pc gaming -same as above besides thats what LCDs are for (less radiation)
10. exclusive games on the console.-subjective but objectively PC has the most AAA,AAs THIS GEN and LAST gen and the gen before itRealGameFan
