Both windows and 360 have their share of pirates.
So far the ps3 is the safest when it comes to game piracy.
[QUOTE="trick91_basic"]360 games are almost always near the top of sales chart, while developers continue to complain about pc piracy /end thread110millionCause PC developers just want an excuse to put games on consoles, that way they can make them weaker and everyone can play them, ignorant of how superior PC game can be. its all about sales, console games sell more then PC regardless of how much 360 is pirated.

Yeah, cause its easier and cheaper to get a 360 then a computer, even if your experiance is so much worse.

Thats why so many indie devs are PC only. I mean thats just... completely and utterly wrong.
dude! i just did the same thing the 360 one had like 1 million pc only had 162,932I just checked a couple of private trackers that are not open to the public.
360 Total for NFS:S - 187,694 seeders/leachers
PC total for NFS:S - 162,847 seeders/leachers
Pretty close, but still shows the 360 is pirated to hell and back.

Spore and The Sims 3 are games people have criticised for the amount of piracy they got, yet Spore sold 2 million while Sims 3 sold 3.7 million.
People put too much significance into piracy figures, it's not like each and every one represents lost sales.
Your right they don't but to ignore the significance of piracy when a game is downloaded 5-10 times as often as it's bought.... PC piracy = Problem. Crysis was pirated over 1.5 million times...
Console piracy = Not a problem. The numbers actually pirating compared to the millions buying the games on said console are so one sided in favor of the buyers that's it's essentially just pointless to even mention.
Piracy is going to happen wherever you go, no matter what. PS3 games will be pirated as well when it's cost efficient. Thing is, only on PC does it actually hinder sales to the extent and people take notice. Just look at Wolfenstein on PC? Wolfenstein was essentially a PC franchise and it sold 30k on PS3 and near 40kon 360. Yet, on PC, it only sold 17k. Demigod had 80% of the players at launch of the game as being pirates. Only 20% were legitimate players (I was one of the legimate players). This is all pretty much common sense.

I'm not ignoring the subject, only questioning the significance of its impact.
PC gaming has apparently been dieing for decades and yet console users insist on claiming piracy is killing it, well there's two heavily pirated games that did just fine. Did piracy cost sales? Probably yes, but they didn't invalidate their success as PC exclusive games.
Download figures are not all lost sales.
