So you're saying that Wii fitness is needed for fat gamers like you? kkk. You're solution to the problem is kinda solve.

I think if people want to get fit, they'll go to the gym or buy a bench for home.

smokeydabear076

Yeah, this is a bad thing. If people seriously think that this is going to work wonders for them, then they are sadly mistaken.

You see, why buy a bench when you can pick up a wii mote and have more fun?

I know, seriously. Gym>>>>>>>>>>>>Wii fitness anyway.

I don't care, fitness is not a game. Too bad Nintendo thinks that it is.

ITs not a game but people will still buy it, that shows you how much Market Appeals Nintendo has.

did you see the list of hardcore games angelreborn8 put up? cause if third parties werent taking nintendo seriously they woulnt make a exclusive medal of honor for wii with 32 player online multiplayer matches and sega woulnt of brought nights journey of dreams to the wii ( btw nights journey of dreams is the sequel to a masterpiece) also madden woulnt have online with chat support. see your just in denial fanboy. just look at no more heros and manhunt 2 OF COURSE THIRD PARTIES ARE TAKING NINTENDO SERIOUSLY! L0L!

fierro316

Nights? You mean that game that almost look the same as the Sega Saturn version? I have the SS version and also Christmas Nights. And Manhunt will be also available for the PS2 and PSP.

The only promising exclusive in that list is NMH. The rest are just cash ins.

really? so mario galaxy is a cash in? and also i hope nights is similar to the saturn version cause that means it would be another masterpiece. als0 the wii version of manhunt 2 is thebest version and do you call dbz 3 a cash in? medal of honor with 32 player online a cash in? you call resident evil umbrella chronicles a cash in? ( gamespot even said the game was awsome)

It's a gimmick at best. If they want to lose body fat, it's either using small stairwalking machines or jog for 30 minutes. Doing those weak motion will not only slower the process, but waste their time when they can spend time on treadmill, eat 1 protein * bodyweight, low carb, etc... I've saw the one working with the arms. I laughed when you could use your time to shadow boxing with 5~20lbs.

you see you guys dont like change. Your used to the same old routine. Get used to it Nintendo is trying to change the way we do things for the better. I think its funner to exersise with the wii than doing all that trash you just said. Also dont assume people are buying it to loose weight, they could be buying it for the fun of it.

Bench pressing, Squating, Deadlifting and all of the other exercises that can be preformed at a gym are a hell of a lot more fun then anything you will be able to do with the wii-mote.

For those of you who think that people will buy wii fitness to loose weight, dont assume. Its all about trying something new than just the same old routine. Dont you see? with the wii mote its self Nintendo is trying to make games more interactive, now thier trying to bring the gym to your home. if your against this your against change.

Well you really don't know what you are talking about because if you did, you would never recommend doing this. Wii fitness is not going to change anything for the people who know what they are doing.

That is how you do it, man!

Step mat? How about some squats?

Those sissy flying toe-touches? How about some real Deadlifts?

Body mass calcuator? There are a ton of websites that do it for you for free and a lot more! For example: Bodybuilding.com!! If you want to get in shape, make a bodyspace. No Wii Fit needed, and it saves a lot of money.

X_CAPCOM_X

Yeah, this is a bad thing. If people seriously think that this is going to work wonders for them, then they are sadly mistaken.

You see, why buy a bench when you can pick up a wii mote and have more fun?

Bench pressing, Squating, Deadlifting and all of the other exercises that can be preformed at a gym are a hell of a lot more fun then anything you will be able to do with the wii-mote.

Yeah, one of my favorite websites right there.

Awesome! You lift too, I assume? Have you read the 20-rep squat workout article?

THIS IS SYSTEM WARS! go take this discussion about lifting weights to the off topic forum you troll

Yeah after reading about it from a few places I had to try it out, I love widowmakers(I think that is what the 20 rep squat is called). Anyway to get back on topic, the Wii does not appeal to me even with those "Hardcore" games.

I'm not exactly in with Nintendo's new strategy and ideas. I understand that they're creating games like Wii Fit to appeal to a broader audience and hopefully, they will sometime turn into hardcores that play a variety of games. However, a bit more for the hardcore audience wouldn't hurt and hopefully, they'll deliver during the rest of E3. Brawl and Galaxy's release dates aren't good enough for me.

Anyone who says Madden is hardcore should just be quiet.CJL13

:? Madden has one of the most hardcore fanbases there is, also the game is pretty hardcore if you start developing your own playlists and everything. People love to hate it but Madden is very hardcore.

Nope, but off the top of my mind are the games I want for the Wii:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, Dragon Quest Swords, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Sadness, and Disaster: Day of Crisis.

Not much is known about half of these games and Nintendo hasn't given much to people like me so far and this is E3, which is why I'm disappointed so far.

Too bad the only one that I would be interested in is Mortal Kombat Armageddon which I already have for the PS2.

Yeah, I love widowmakers.

Sounds so painful, I usually do 5X5.

back to the topic; Wii Fit sounds like a good substitute for cardio if its intense, because cardio is really boring.

Then again, cardio...meh hahaha.

Episode 2

Ladies and Gentlemen The Console war is official over. Wii fitness Foreshadows Ps3's and Xbox 360's Fate Which is defeat. Why you ask? well put ur glasses on.

Wii fitness will sell the most guaranteeing Wii victory. why? Because of the Wii's install-base. For those of you saying "Killzone2 is way better"angelreborn8 says, will it sell more? no. why? because of the ps3's small install-base. If your saying to yourself "well the ps3's install-Base will grow over time" well that may be true but it will never surpass the wii. NO why? because The Wii has Mass Market Appeal with its Price and casual games. Now for those of you saying " its OK cause i love Xbox 360 and Wii sales will never catch up to 360 sales" well open your eyes,Since the Wii was released it has outsold Xbox 360 and Ps3Every month in the U.S. and World Wide (ouch) Wii Fitness and Mario Kart Wii online are just Insults to injury And we cant forget about the Zapper.

For those of you who say the wii has no HardCore game. Well Recognize

Metriod Prime 3 Corruption, Madden NFl 08 (online), Fifa08 (online), Resident evil Umbrella Chronicles, Super smash bro'sBrawl (might have online), Nights Journey of Dreams,Mario strikers Charge (online), Super paper Mario, Medal of honor ( 32 multi player online), Resident evil 4 Wii edition, Soul Calibur legends, Legend of Zelda twilight Princess, Civilization revolution, Dbz Tenkaichi 3 (online), Mario Galaxies, Dragon Quest Swords, Masked Queen and the tower of Mirrors, Disaster day of crisis, Scarface Wii, Mortal Kombat Armageddon, Smackdown VS Raw 08, The God farther, Call of duty 3, Battalion wars 2, Bleach shattered blades, Red steel, Red steel 2, Fire emblem Godess of dawn, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles The crystal Bearer, Ghost Squad, No More Heros, Prince of Persia Rival Swords, Project Hammer, Sadness.

angelreborn8

Metroid- Rehash 1st Party

Madden- It's casual as hell. How many people actually like sports games on here?

Fifa- Look up at sports games

RE:UC- Dumbed down. Actual gamers care more for RE;5, not to be coddled like newborns on rails over the same stuff we've seen before.

SSMB- Fighting game with no depth, never cared about this or many fighting games for that matter.

Nights-Not being made by the same team which did the original, the graphics are dated and the gameplay is dated.

Mario Strikers- Woohoo, hardcore paradise. Another mario knockoff sports game! Praise the gaming gods!

Super Paper Mario- This one is of the only good ones in the list but it's 1st party, what a surprise.

Medal of Honor- Gee, I wonder which a hardcore gamer would rather play. Something updated and stunning on the 360 or PS3 for a WWII war game or something with disgusting graphics/control.

RE4: Lol, port of PS2/GC

SC: Legends: Cash-in of popular HARDCORE FIGHTING franchise

Zelda: Yawn, and it's borderline casual

Civilization: Umm....

Dbz: Ok, don't care for Dbz

Mario: People are getting tired of the same game over and over, milked to hell.

DQ: Knockoff- what a surprise! A spinoff!

Disaster: Day of Crisis- Who knows

Scarface - Port once again

MK: Armageddon- Dumbed down port

Smacked Down: Uber-port/dumbed down

Godfather-Port w/worse graphics as the rest

COD3- Yep, casuals flock to the WWII shooter with terrible graphics/control

Prince of Persia: Port Again

Project Hammer- CANCELLED due to Nintendo trying to put more money into ditching thier hardcore audience

FF: Crystal- Knockoff to make money off of idiots

BW2: Many don't care

Red Steel: hahahhahaha

Red Steel 2: hahahahha x2

Bleach: Trash

FE: Good if you like those kinds of games

No More Heroes: Could be good but I sense trash

Sadness- Who knows

So what, maybe 3 definately good games out of how much more shovelware and ports?

Um, DDR is x324225 better than this trash and cheaper. I-according to the game- burn off 1,000 calories in about an hour or a little under.

Yeah I guess we are just going to have to wait and see what the wii fit has to offer before we judge it.

PS: They are painful and require a lot of breathing so when I am finished with the 20-rep squats I normally just fall down and lay there on the floor till I can muster up the strength to walk. Its funny because the article that I read said that there is a good chance that you will collapse, but I thought that I would be fine after it... I was wrong.

Not only are the so-called "fitness evaluations" in Wiifit things you can do for free online, but if you go to an actual gym
(like say, The Blitz or Planet Fitness), they'll actually measure your body fat to muscle ratio. That information is equelly important to knowing your height and weight. If you're only measuring height and weight, then you are getting a very distorted view of your fitness. If you are building muscle mass, your weight is going to increase, so something like Wiifit is going to tell you you're getting out of shape. If your goal is to loose weight without having to look at numbers on a scale, then Wiifitness is probably about as non-offensive an exercise routine you're going to find. But if you actually care about getting into shape SERIOUSLY, you need to adopt a real excercise routine and / or hit the gym.
