I think ms have made so many mistakes this gen that it's almost impossible to rectify them all in a console lifespan. They lost a majority of the fan base before the battle started this gen.

The correlation is simple: M$ seems to be more worried about investing on BC than on new games. It's what they show us that matter, not what you think. When that company decides to invest in news games, maybe, MAYBE, we'll shut up.

I wonder if someone will be able to take the throne from Nintendo. Not counting Wii U since they lost that one, they've won 2 handheld wars against Sony, and 7th gen console wars, winning in 8.5th gen against X1X and PS4 PRO with Switch. Sony was able to win against them in 5th and 6th gen, by a large margin too. If it happens, who will take the lead from them though, Xbox is dead, Sony is doing okay but they can't do it again. Will it be someone new, again?

I'm speaking from experience with a PS4 Pro, X1X, Switch, GTX 1080, 4k OLED TV, and Atmos Sound Setup, how about you?
Sony has won 3/4 generations outright (Finished tied with 360 last gen despite a HORRIBLE start)
PS4 won this gen as soon as MS had that disastrous E3 showing but they did not rest on their laurels. Exclusive after exclusive and improvement after improvement and price drop with bundles has just resulted in a beatdown. Games sell consoles. PS4 has games. Xbone does not. God Of War has beeeeeeen the talk of the past month, I can't recall seeing any major xbox exclusive (Not found on PC) in months if not a year
SW has been boring for a long time. I own all the systems, so for me it serves little value to be honest. I just get bored on flights sometimes, (I travel a lot) so It is something to do once in a while.
The only thing getting old is the disrespect towards Nintendo. The big N continues to drop some of the best exclusives year after year, and yet all we end up talking about in SW is movie games and walking simulators. The Switch dropped the best current gen library in a calendar year, and SW is acting like it never happened.
Switch dropped ONE good exclusive and a bunch of Wii U remasters, tho... the switch is basically a Wii U Pro at this point, except you have to pay to play the (barely) updated games.
@recloud: I said against X1X and PS4 Pro ffs. Those two were released nearly 4 months before Switch, and even tho I couldn't find an exact number, Sony claimed %20 of PS4 sales are PROs, so 16M out of 80. But I think it must be a bit lower, though let's keep the numbers like this. I couldn't find anything for X1X, but it is said to be outselling PS4 Pro in North America, let's say Europeans aren't keen on Xbox as Americans, and Japanese hate it, so we can say it is close to PS4 PRO, or a few millions low. You can argue about game library, innovation, type of the console and hybrid design.
