actually to date no games have used the multithread processing of the cell, they've all run on GPU rendering and simply put the ai on the CPU because thats how you do it on pc. the cell has over 30 threads each of which would take about a quarter of a second to render a frame of uncharted 2, so if it were used right, the cell could enable a 120fps uncharted 2 with the same level of graphics. now, compare some arch vis renders (just google image that) to heavy rain and the like, arch vis is CPU rendered, all games so far are gpu rendered. the cell could, technically, effectively quadruple the power of the ps3 if used right, (30 things each figuring out 4 things a second vs 1 thing figuring out 30 things per second) but nobody has programmed that yet except for some of sony's so called canned tech demos (which are in realtime)12345678ew
yes and if games ran on my toaster they run at 50000fps at 200000p with graphics better than real life. oh im sorry i thought we were living in fantasy world.
sorry to break the news but developers do use the cell. they have to. the RSX is so weak that in order to maintain a standard of graphics they have to use the cell to help it.
