sorry - pc controllers are definitely behind console. 360 controllers has compatibility issues and mapping issues - so do any logitech sticks, even overriding it with applications that map button strikes to keystrokes aren't compatible with 100% of games.

standardization is what's missing for PC controllers, and what makes the console controller far better imo. until PC has some gold standard that every dev supports this topic fails :(

You make a legit point, but so many different options could confuse people to a degree. Consoles are a lot more of a mass market invention than PCs are, it's a more simple way to access and play games than the PC is, and one standard controller with a set bunch of buttons (I think in console controllers, less is more) is conducive to the consoles' target audience.

[QUOTE="dracula_16"]SSBB says hello.Forza_2
Fighting games usually allow you to map the buttons. But they are the very minority...

So do many other games :|
DMC4 and Oblivion are two examples. And SSBB also lets you play with different controller types (much like the wii does with it's VC games). However, I agree that their are more control options for the PC, but you can't say that consoles don't offer any choices. Not to mention 3rd party controllers that come out,.

Not enough. And for the third time, DMC4 isn't fully customizable.

You have a Rumblepad 2 right, BlackBond ? Do you think the DualShock analog is better than that ?Forza_2

I think the Dual Shock is better because the Rumble Pad 2 uses a Square Gate. Which is wierd for an Analog Stick. I mean Octogonal Gates for N64/GC/Wii works great and everyone else uses Circular. But a Square Gate for Analogs is plain wierd.

It doesn't. Standardization in this case translates to "lack of choice and options".
