You can hook a PC up to a TV, play from your couch, and use a gamepad to achieve the exact same, if not a very similar experience to consoles. You are shackled by your own misconceptions.
I have a 4k PC Set-Up and the only real use for it is MMORPG's. I enjoy my 360 and Wii for single player gaming.

Generally, yes. Its true. Console fans hate to admit it (or are too blind to see it), but theres a reason the most involved, intense, and extreme games have always and continue to always be on the PC.

the only 3 games i've played alot on pc are transport tycoon, grand prix 2 and world of warcraft and all of them i no longer polay because i prefer my console. does that make me a child?

Sure the Tower parts prob could be done with 1,500. But you also need a monitor (i got 30 inch) 6.1 surround sound system, best headset ont he market, best keyboard and mouse combo, new router, new printer/fax/copier etc etc.

Last I checked my 9 year old brother plays PC games (Zoo Tycoon etc etc) yet he can't play Console games because the controller consept is to advanced. Point and click = kiddy.

not necessarily more mature but the fact that they're on pc means you need to know that your pc will run the game before you buy it. a 10yr old child most likely won't know this and neither will the average casual gamer who only got attracted to video games through the wii. the fact that you need more knowledge to enjoy pc gaming i think makes the average age of a pc gamer higher.
