Considering that the 30 Inch monitor itself was 1,195 whichs over 1/4 the price no i didnt get "ripped off"

You PC guys always forget that the price of a PC set up doesn't just mean the tower components.

Console fanboys forget lazyboys, 5.1 surround sound, and HDTV's arent in the picture when console prices come into play either.

So that leaves about 2800 dollars for speakers and the tower. You got ripped off. Its possible to build a tower more powerful then any commercially available tower for under $1000. Or did your speakers set you back that extra 1800 :/

You can EASILY spend 4k on building a PC. Sure you can also spend 650$ buying older technology that is liek 6 months old. But if you buy the best avalible at the time (which I did about 9 months ago) you can also easily spend up to 4k (with monitor at 30+ INCHES)

I just needed the best avalible to me at the time because I was playign Shadowbane (an MMO) and had to have a computer that could handle having 15 clients open at the same time to run the Banes and have every Bot I could have.

By 15 clients I mean 15 versions of the game open at once on a single pc.

Try to run 15 Clients at a Bane in Shadowbane with over 150 players around the city on a 650$ rig. Hell even my system bogs down and needs to be rebooted every hour that I'm at one of them.

(a Bane is a war in the game Shadowbane)

I'm 32, and I think PC gaming is for younger gamers, if you have any form of life at all you do not have time for PC gaming, its way to much of a commitment, thats why I stopped upgrading my computer for gaming, and went to consoles, I do not have to install anything, do not have to worry about requirments, and can just buy a game and enjoy it

As an adult, with kids of my own, games like Viva Pinata, rayman raving rabbits, ect give me a vehicle to spend time with my children, and its something we can do together. I think thats mature, obviously you have alot of growing to do
