Consoles for people, PC's for people with money, PC's and consoles for people who enjoy varied games with money.

PC has a lot of bad genres, in fact the PC is actually worse than consoles in certain genres.

$400 (360) + $50*4 (Xbox Live) + $60*30 (Games)= $2400 Thats in 4 years of having the 360
$1000 (PC) + $40*30 (Games)= $2200 Thats in 4 years of having a Gaming PC
See...the PC is actually cheaper..and try selling that PC after 4 years...you get alot more money than that 360....
P.S. That PC for $1000 is alot more powerful than the 360 too.....

PC is made for people who like PC. Consoles are made for people who like games. Im sorry that PCs arnt used by more people to play games but its just way too much of a hassle to install, load, serial numbers, everything is just a pain on a Pc and the controls offer no immersion.

You've got to be kidding me. I know how to assemble and maintain a PC; I did that stuff for years. I'm a software developer for a major financial firm, so we can safely assume that I know plenty about how computers work. I just don't care to screw around with PC gaming anymore. I want to come home, relax, and enjoy a game. I don't want to update my drivers to make sure there are no issues with the new game I grabbed on the way home. I don't want to wait for compatibility issues to be resolved in an upcoming patch. I don't want to wait for my games to be updated to work with Vista (hey, MS gave it to me for free). I just want to play a game. I want to play against my friends - they don't have top-notch gaming PCs (the fastest PC any of my friends own is a Powerbook G4, followed closely by a guy with a P3 600), but they do have Xboxes and Halo 2. Not everyone who doesn't like exactly what you like is a little kid. Get over yourself.

That might be better stated as:

Consoles are for people that like to play games.

PC games are for people that are interested in making games.

Or maybe even:

Consoles are for people that like to play games on a regular basis, but don't want to deal with the technical crap and have lives outside of videogames.

PC games are for Nerds (tech geeks).

Last I checked it shouldn't matter if it's kiddy, what next? Someone is going to talk about how many people that are black that play consoles? Who cares if they're kids? Why does it really matter? What harm does it do? Enjoy games. You're not harming anyone because you play a game people under 18 play. The fact is, it's not JUST kids, it's kids, it's not a kid only product, but something that happens to have a lot of kids, it's not legos, but it's like anything really, not an adult, nor childrens product, just something everyone can enjoy, who cares if it's mostly kids? A lot of kids like TV, a lot of kids like Apples, a lot kids like music. Who really cares? Jeez, grow up, stop being so insecure. Half the people that watch porno are horny teenagers, does that mean a man is "Kiddy" for watching porn? No. These statistics mean nothing, these threads mean nothing. Kiddy is the worst insult anyone could think of, what next? "Lolz only white people play Nintendo". Maybe if the majority of console gamers are rapists or murderers. Then I would have something to think of it, but not if someone is under the legal age of adulthood. Plus, the reason is not complexity, it's because of child labor laws/lack of high paying jobs among young people. PCs cost money. More money than consoles, because they do more. What next? "More young people have ****y old cars, it's more common for adults to have nice cars", obviously, it's called money. Older people tend to be the main demographic for mustangs, not 16 year olds. That doesn't mean if you don't have a sports car you suck, you just don't feel like buying the luxorus stuff. Just like not everyone wants to buy GeForce 8800s. Some do, some don't. Why does it matter? Why do you care what others do with their life? Enjoy it, have fun. Most murderes are older, does that make killing a mature sophisticated act? No. It's because that's the way it is, more older gamers buy PCs, big deal, who cares? It's an age, a demographic. It's ignorant and pointless, like what you like, as long as it doesn't harm anyone why does it matter? Hell, if it was catered to 8 year olds as long as you enjoy it big ****ing deal!

Exactly, that's it. But that's with anything, if a grown man has a t-shirt and jeans, will people make a big deal because a kid wears stuff of that quality? Probably not. A grown man doesn't have to wear suits, nor does he have to play on expensive gaming platforms. Plus, kids mostly no more about computers, since they grew up with them. Most adults don't really care about searching on the internet about what overclocking is, a 17 teen year old that goes to GS would probably be more curious. Money, that's it, no maturity invovled. Just like a nice car.
