So what did you guys like and hate on Bad Company 2?
I loved the overall experience, but what I liked the most were the gadgets and class type multiplayer.
What I hated was the driving control, specially from the helicopter.

Cons first and then pros?!?!? NEVER!!!!
Edit: Ok screw it.
Cons:
The m24 can sometimes be a little innaccurate with moving targets, although I'm not what you would call a "good" shot.
It isn't out yet.
Only one map (Although it is giant and a very nice varied map.
The destruction still doesn't feel very free.
There is a little too much weight to turning, so if you have someone behind you, you are damned.
Pros:
Vehicle gameplay is hillariously fun.
Shotguns are balanced perfectly.
The demo gives a nice taste of the game while really making you want more.
The health of characters are just right.
No weapons are overpowered.
The vehicle marker is actually very usefull whereas in other games it would just be a filler object.
The sounds are amazing.
Pistol sounds are amazing (because it deserves it's own)
The point earning is just right (Although I know it will probibly be alot easier to level up in the full game)
You do feel inherently cool when aiming the m24.
Grenade spam isn't a problem.
HUGE map.
Helicopters are very difficult to fly without practice so it should quench people just getting helicopters and killing everyone.
Did I mention the sounds are amazing?
That's about it.
everything was good. They should have made it go up to 32 player but w/e.
cons: Helicopter controls, but maybe thats cz i havent used it much.
too many shots to kill a guy.
cant go prone< w/e its too late for this to be included.
Knifing animation could be better.
i hope to see some fog, or snow levels where it actually snows :P. or even rain.
the thing i dont like is that only snipers have C4 and i would prefer mechanic to have C4s instead of rpg and snipers cant call missile strikelike they could in bad company 1 and thats really lame coz i used it alot and was one of the top players with missile strike kills. other then that, BC2 is da bomb.
Edit: also i hate choppers and its kinda hard to kill em in this game, it was already hard enough in BC1
Pros: It's awesome.
Cons: People who know how to fly helicopters.
I also just want to say that spotting is the best thing ever.

Yeah I don't see why the couldn't get the full 32 players in there, I mean Bad Company 2 already uses Dedicated Servers (which is why you rarely get lag in the game *coughEPICIMLOOKINGATYOUcough*) so I can't imagine it would be terribly hard to get that number up to 32 unless for graphical reasons or something? :?
Cons:
- Helicopter controls
- Knifes are wierd
- Only one map
Pros:
- Almost perfectly balanced
- Graphics are surprisingly good
- Addictive
- Nice leveling up system.
- The classes are balanced
- Large maps
- Squads work well
- Pretty much lag free
- Weapons feel right
- Fully destructible environments
Knifing animation could be better.RibnarakYeahhh, the knifing is weird. I always get disoriented when I try to knife someone. Should be more like CoD.

C4 is nice although I would've prefered a spec obs class having it instead. The missile strike is in the full game I believe.[QUOTE="tehsystemwarior"] and how many snipers there are.Ribnarak
yeah, i dont midn it when there on the other team: its so easy to kill em. BUt when they're on your team, its so hard to win.
I must agree with that, there was game I played where everyone was snipers and I was the only one defending.I felt like throwing my tv off the window.

[QUOTE="tehsystemwarior"]squad spawn systeMCherokee_JackExplain. Well, spawning under a grenade, or into bullets, or having someone spawn behind hte guy your shooting at and get killed by him.
Knife glitch, my brother said he knife someone through a wall and sometimes the knife won't instantly kill someone even at close rangemitu123That's happened to me. I thought it was just supposed to be that way.

Even Bad Company 1 had a knife glitch, I hope they fix that in the final product.

None of that has ever happened to me...
And if someone did spawn behind someone I was killing, I would just kill him too. You can't spawn on someone who's dying anyway.

assault also has c4, you have to equip a shotgun first though.

It's better then it was in the first, but i still get screwed over by it every now and then. But its Okay, the game is fantastic. Oh, and knife glitches. I've knifed some one before, seen the blood come out of him, heard the noise, and then he knifes me.Interaction with the world (jumping onto and climbing over things). Hard to really complain when it's offering so much destructability though I guess.

When I first got the demo I played a lot of Recon, usually on offense (which put me off the game until I realized that Engineer is the best class). Now that I understand the ticket system it seems useless to play Recon on offense, unless you're just trying to get a lot of kills for yourself like a jerk (or unless you're a really good sniper and can actually support your team as they take objectives.[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]

lol
Hahahah! I agree, but it's also a PRO when you get someone on your team that can fly it!Cons:
Crap Optimization on PC -it seems to hate Core 2 Duos
Team Sniping - every game half my team is sitting up on a hill
Unrealistic looking destruction -same parts of the building always blow up
Sniping is overpowered - A sniper is capable of killing anything and it can do it from the safety of a mountain top
No Prone - Why no prone?
Bland Customization - Compared to other games you really can't customize much.
Pros:
Fun Multiplayer - I have about 20 hours played which for a demo is amazing.
Unlocks Require Effort - You actually have to work for the unlocks in this game. They really aren't handed to you like in Call of Duty.
Rush - Its good to see battlefield move beyond the old capturing points system in favor of a more focused multi-tiered map system.
No Grenade Spam - Grenade spam isn't an issue
Sound - its amazing
Vehicles -They are well balanced and fun to use.
Recoil - the guns have it
No God mode - Running and gunning won't get you far
Graphics - Looks great on PC, not the most impressive game I've seen though.

Apparently the full version will be capable of better graphics.
I would really like to get the game on PC, but I was told that I wouldn't be able to run it better than on consoles. I don't know if I believe that, but I guess I'll play it safe. Hopefully they put out a demo at some point.
I have to say the only con about BFBC2 is how people don't fully understand teh concept of working as a team. They sit and snipe or they attempt to do things all on their own. Dropping a single ammo box during an assault or a single medic box can completely change the outcome yet most people don't yet realize this.
BFBC2 is not a lone wolf game. You want that, go play MW2 (yes I said it). If you don't work as a team, you die as a team. I've never seen an un coordinated team win. Even if it means only one squad is really working together. One squad of 4 vs 16 uncoordinated people... thats almost an even fight. You throw in the other 12 uncoordinated on that one team, and the team of 16 uncoordinated people will lose.
I don't purposefully work together with people, and I do pretty damn well for the team in most games. I mean, I'm not running off to the enemy spawn points by myself, but I'm not constantly looking out for my squad or talking strategy over voice chat either.I have to say the only con about BFBC2 is how people don't fully understand teh concept of working as a team. You don't have to constantly work together, but some teamwork is much better than none. An individual score is meaningless if you lose. Back in the PS3 beta I would get 70-100 kills in the longer matches to only a small number of deaths yet we would lose. Why? I could kill all day but it wasn't helping my team win.

Well, yeah, I understand what helps the team and prioritize that over trying to play deathmatch (mostly). I think that's enough unless you're a super serious clan player.I love everything about it. Imo its the definitive multiplayer game :D
I would like to have 4 player coop on the campaign and a cinema mode (something like in Halo3). Then, it would be perfect
PAL360
Argh this game needs a cinema mode! I shot a guy with the M24 as he jumped by the first crate B, so it looked like he bellyflopped onto my team-mate at crate B. I laughed for a good minute.

I was at that same spot one time (in the ditch where the M-COM station is), either defusing the charge or defending it, when all this happened in a span of about 8 seconds:
It was pretty funny...reminded me a lot of the debut trailer where a string of people kill each other.
To start off, I really think the BFBC2 demo is really fun and I am looking forward to perhaps picking up the game. Everything about the experience is a sort of controlled chaos and the acions really brings the map to life.
Pros: This game has a lot of positives. To begin, the highlight of the game is how cohesive you and your teammates can become to acheive an objective. The game justly rewards team play rather than lone wolf tactics. All of the vehicles are fun to learn to operate and fit right in with the infantry gameplay. The game is very balanced as far as weaponry and vehicles are concerned. Class based infantry really adds a certain element of importance with each player on the battlefield. The game also looks great with everything that is going on in the screen at once.
Cons: Infantry gameplay is not up to par with MW2. There is no prone as far as I know and infantry takes far to many bullets. Sometimes the map can be hard to navigate when encountering slopes and hills. A cover system for infantry would be great.
From the first ps3 beta you get enough points you would eventually get to call in a strike. This new demo has nothing on it that the old demo had. If you all thought the game was fun now wait until the actual game comes out and you get to upgrade your abilities. Pros:
Almost everything. It's actually a good thing they did with the vehicle controls so they don't become overpowered. If you played the beta, you will know what I mean.
Cons:
I can't use the helicopter..But thats my fault lol. There really arent much cons. It's shaping up to be an amazing experience.
I love using squads, you are not alone.:)[QUOTE="muffintheduffin"]
am i the only one who plays the game with squad members?
me and my squad always work together :)

Absolutely. There have been so many tense games with my squad holding up a location with tanks everywhere with just seconds left in the game. I love the teamwork in this game.
