I almost agree.
PS3 - better d pad, better face buttons, lighter, rechargable, sixaxis
360 - better sticks, better triggers

You're right the sticks are better than the PS3's.PS3 controller - better d pad
360 controller - better everything else
The X360 controller's buttons arent mashable. The only thing I dislike about the PS3 controller are the triggers.
So I'm going to say my favourite controller of all time is the Dualshock 2...

I haven't used the dualshock 3's much, but my first impressions were that the shape of them tended to make your fingers slip off and it didnt feel very controlled. The xbox 360's controllers sure do have better triggers, but thats about it. PS controllers have always been great, the sit in your hands perfectly, and i prefer having the analogue sticks in the position they are. also the buttons just feel nicer, as does the DPAD. Its an iconic controller thats for sure.
360 and ps3's controllers are soooo 2 gens ago. In case most of you missed it... Wii's controller is the single reason Nintendo dominated MS and Sony this gen. (this is objective truth)
AntiType
true the Wii's Controller is the most Unique and Newer than the 360's and PS3's.
Then again without the Nunchuck it's like a regular NES Controller with more buttons and the Classic Controller is just a SNES controller with Joysticks and a L2 and R2.
Dualshock is the worst, mostmisshaped and clunkyabomination of a controller I've ever laid my hands on. It's basically a toss-up between the Xbox (360) controller and the Gamecube controller. I prefer the latter due to bigger action buttons, even though the d-pad is practically useless.
Um
360 is the most erganomic and has been voted by some publications 'Best Controller' plus it's aesthetically more pleasing and more creative with it's looks (Ring tells which plater you are)
PS3 controller - better d pad
360 controller - better everything else
The X360 controller's buttons arent mashable. Then how did you guys play Dante's inferno.Does keyboard + mouse count? If not easily the PS dualshock controller. Nuttin' but awesome. It's been around forever too, reminds me of an old friend.
360 is the best controller...PS3 has too many back buttons and the analog placement is thrash....N why is it so light...Its thrash..JamaniToo many back buttons? What are you talking about. The 360 and PS3 controllers both have four buttons on the back. L1 L2 and R1 R2.
The X360's controller is BULKY with HARD PLASTIC buttons and a crummy d-pad. PS3 controllers = Perfection! What say you?Tony-Baxter
Lol? Xbox is easily a better controler. Triggers buttons overall design.
Ps3 controller doesn't really feel right and the triggers are terrible. Only thing that PS3 has over 360 is the d-pad.
I like the PS3's buttons and D-pad more than the 360's, and I like the L1 and R1 buttons better than the 360's bumpers, but I like the 360's shell, sticks, and triggers better than the PS3's.
I like the 360's controller the best. The triggers are much better than the L2 and R2's on the DS3, and I can't even remember the last time I've used a D-Pad. I've gotten used to the DS3, but I would still much rather use a 360 controller if given the choice. I even use it for PC action/FPS games because I've never liked KB/M very much.

There's nothing wrong with the analog placement. And although you didn't mention it, YOUR THUMBS DO NOT SLIDE OFF the analogue sticks. They're fine, and much better than the 360s (Seem more sensitive and smooth, at least imo). What do you mean about the back buttons? they have exactly the same buttons, in almost exactly the same places.
I almost agree.

am guessing you prefer the xbox360 controller because if you compare the ps3 has as smaller dead zone which equals to more range in motion and the xbox 360 controllers have issues where the dead zone stops working i currently have that problem when the L stick is neutral if i touch it and not move it the game still registers movement in a certain spot on L stick
the xbox360 does own ps3 with the triggers but i prefer the ps3 controller because i can use one finger per L1,R1,L2,R2 on the ps3 while on the xbox 360 i have to share one finger with LT,LB and RT,RB
The DualShock analog sticks get oily after long periods- ie, months- of inactivity. Unless an elf sneaks into the house to pee on them. Floppy_JimI normally have issues with the Leprechauns. Sucks that you get stuck with the elfs. Must be colder where you live. :P
I don't like DS3. It's light and the triggers feel weird. The 360 is great. It's comfortable and still stays in my hand even when it gets sweaty. DS2 and 360 are my favorites.
i like all three contollers but the ds3 is the overall best.
the 360 analogue stick placement is great.
the ds2 rechargalbe, d-pan, pressure sensitive buttons, shoulder buttons and triggers, blu-tooth, and sixaxis masex it the overall best.
and if you look at all three systems interface
wii classic controler, chuck, wand
360 standard controler without motion, and kinect
ps3 ds3 with sixaxis, ps eye, move , sub controler.
ps3 has most versility.
NO MATTER how you slice it ps3 comes out on top.
It's old as hell but still relevant.

"The Xbox 360 controller however does have slightly more girth around the handle area causing you to cradle the controller instead of grasping it like the DS3."
If you're not an idiot you do exactly the opposite.
But I agree with that analysis otherwise.
