Even if this were true it's not like people don't know this already. Everything in the media, even games, is fake. Just look at some reviews of games like MGS4 here or Uncharted 3 at IGN and it's nothing but gushing instead of honest criticism.

I didn't say they weren't. I said some reviews are clearly more towards the endless praise side of things. I also don't believe all reviews are paid off, just that money (or similar) does in fact change hands sometimes. Look at the CoD thing a few years back where all the reviewers were given a big holiday thing by Activision.

if u listen to real reviewers who have been in press for years, they all say no one cares about stupid swag and vacations and crap.its nothing special for them b/c its totally routine.

the only people swayed by that stuff are inexperienced/small time, and those are the sources publishers spend that money for. not ign or GS

i dont even think small time reviewers care that much, u would have to be incredibly dumb to change your score b/c Activision sent you on a helicopter ride

I remembered PC Gamer gave FC2 94%, as much as I love it, but c'mon, it's a ridiculously high score for a game that has many flaws
