uhmmm they get paid from somewhere so it's obvious this happens. They're meant to advertise the games they review whether is giving them a good score or not. How else would they get money ? the ads on a site are not enough.
I would do it, too. Who cares about integrity for freaking entertainment? It doesn't mean ANYTHING. It's not like the government is lying about their super-secret laboratories where they conduct Nazi-like experiments. It's stupid and means nothing. Plus, it would not change many peoples' minds. Grand Theft Auto IV would have still probably done really well.

I like that GS reviews harder but at the end of the day review scores mean nothing to me outside of the SW metagame. Hardly any of my fav games this gen have scored AAA and I think most of those that do are WAY overrated.
EDIT reviews do sway a bit to maybe grab a game at launch or leave it for a sale or get a game I hadn't heard of, but its the meat of the review rather than the score that peak my interest and then seeing what others think of it.
