What I've learned from the history of GS reviews is that they throw those scores out just randomly. There's no logic behind it. So, with good luck it could be possible.
Definately a 9.0 from Gamespot. They're kind of have this rule that platformers shouldn't get super-high scores. But I'm waiting for the Ratchet and Clank review first: that should get 9.0 as well.
i think its very likley, cause lets run through it here.. Its a 10 on graphics, cause its far and away the best looking wii game. THe music is a 10,i think the music is just amazing, and like the first nintendo game to be done by an orcestra. The control is a 10 from what i hear, mario moves flawlessly, so unless its 3 hours long and very few levels, i dont see any reason why it couldntÂ
Gamespot wouldn't give it a 10 because of something like the controls are great, but too good that it takes away from the game or some stupid crap like that (Metroid Prime 3).

Not saying trends are always true, but to think it's garunteed AAA status is rather foolish of "sheep" imho. :?

your probably right. Gamespot's Wii reviews are really different from pretty much every other review source lately. Galaxy will get a 10 everywhere else and like a 7.5 here. :P
AAAA very unlikely but 9.0 or 9.5 possible. look at all the Launch centers they had for the latest games they recieved all AAA. Mario will be one of the few games games in Nov. to recieve AAA and probably the only game for for Wii to actually deserve AAA(sorry Warioware 9.1 i think gs felt sorry for wii owners and Re4 dont get me wrong its great game but a last gen port)

Boasting any game as AAA before any reviews of a game are released is pretty foolish, but I think the difference with SMG is that it appears to be far more innovative than the latest incarnations of Nintendo's popular franchises were. While at its core it's going to play like Mario 64, pretty much everything else is something new and exciting. The gravity aspect alone has many people who've previewed the game giddy with joy. That doesn't even take into account the new controls, the new powerups, and the wildly diverse settings. Even the graphics for SMG show the biggest improvement over its predecessor. No one should be guaranteeing anything, but I don't necessarily think sheep are being very foolish by assuming the game has a great shot at AAA.

what makes R&C:FTOD different from the other R&C games? I don't mean to hate, because once I get a PS3 R&C will be one of my first titles to own... but seriously. Super Mario Galaxy has probably the biggest evolution in platforming since the jump to 3D.
