I think that the PS4 WILL break the 100 million mark. Call me crazy, but it's going to happen...

it's no longer PS4 vs X1, it's X1 vs WiiU now.. PS4 is way on top that both of them can no longer reach
Still too early in the gen to make that call. By last count, Sony has an approx. 1.2 million lead. While that's a decent size considering the newness of this gen, it isn't insurmountable for Microsoft. Remember, last gen the PS3 stumbled out of the gate and was ~ 8 Million behind. They ended up catching up and selling slightly more. (I think)
yup your right, but i don't think the X1 and WiiU can catch up on this one. the Ps4 just smells so good everywhere around the world now. it's hard to find a Ps4, and X1's and WiiU are everywhere..
It's very possible. Especially when you consider the fact that sales for Xbone seem to be slowing down and Sony hasn't even started yet. If Xbone has a WiiU style drop off int he coming months they could end up....lol who am I kidding there's no way they could flop like WiiU. WiiU's flop is a unique scenario lol. While Xbone will never catch up to the PS4 I don't see them flopping as hard as WiiU.
This gen may look like this at the end of the day.....
PS4-100 million
Xbone-50 million
WiiU-20 million
Xbox one is gonna do just fine. Whether or not it's beets ps4 or not depends on multiple factor IMO. One thing is for sure, MS has plenty of time to catch up.....lol at cows thinking the race has been won a couple month into the console generation.
@mrintro: I feel like the Wii U and PlayStation 4 is the perfect combo. But I am sure the Xbox One will have a few exclusives I like. But because I only wish to have one console, I will most likely go with the PlayStation 4, unless I decide to skip this generation or give up on video gaming altogether. I feel the Steam Machine would have a place if it were not for the price, I feel like your average person would not want a Steam Machine, simply because of the price alone; unless they are going to have a Steam Machine that is at a decent price close to the other consoles.
Could? It is in third place and that is where it will stay.
Xboxone be amazing,you just jelly!
Totes jelly babe. :x

I definitely agree. I mean all points indicate a PS4 dominance, but there's still hope for the other two, just a VERY small amount. (Especially for the Wii U sadly)
Second place, just like Xbox and Xbox 360.
The Wii U is in serious trouble right now, and the Xbox One will probably outsell it by March.
It just seems like the PS4 does almost everything better than the Xbox One in terms of gaming. Maybe the tv features are nice on the X1, and maybe Kinect is alright, but those definitely wouldn't be the main reason for getting one. And at the same time, you have a console like the Wii U that actually has sweet exclusives and is much cheaper. In terms of consoles, I would go with PS4 and Wii U this gen. Perfect combo. You?
The PS4 does anything better in terms of gaming? PS4 has no games lol
yea and xbone has graphics worse then a gameboy and i will get married and have 3 kids before the xbone can boot up... hey look at me i can say stupid things too
Yes and so could the Wii U and PS4. It is hard to predict what is going to happen before the vast majority of games have come out and any price cuts have been make.
It was inconceivable for the first 3 (When the Wii was outselling both other consoles 2-1) or so years last generation that the 360 and PS4 would come close to the Wii market share, but turns out that both of them are fairly close now (within 8% market share) and are in a position where they could theoretically pass the Wii before they all stop being manufactured. It was also looked unlikely that the PS3, that was 200 dollars more expensive at launch, would ever pass the 360. 8 years later, it has.
The fight for this generation is far from over.
The X1 will come in a close second! They still have some strong franchises like Halo, Fable and Forza. Plus I think their use of the new Kinect will be much more robust than what they did on the 360. Anyone that thinks the WiiU can come in second ahead of the X1 is insane. In fact, Ill go ahead and say that Nintendo will launch another console before either the PS4 or X1 reach 4 years of age! They have to. The WiiU is a disaster of epic proportions!

Actually over the coming years when over-the-air transmissions get overtaken by internet TV, then the Xbox having TV features and Kinect could be a huge deal. That would open it up to far greater audience then just games, people buying the Xbox one as a DVR that can handle everything would be a big seller for people (once the price drops).
In terms of games just like the 360 it will keep up with the PS4 just fine. Unless you are referring to the power, which for the majority 900p vs 1080p means nothing. People still don't know what 4K refers to or what UHD means. The majority of games that the general consumers buy like Fifa, Madden and COD are going to be pretty much the same experience on both.
You do know you don't need an Xbox for that...right?
Indeed, but you also don't need iTunes to download music, doesn't stop it from dominating the competition. If Microsoft make a system that can contain everything, and make it cross platform with WIndows phone, tablets and Windows then people will buy into it. Imagine switching to netflix, TV (both internet and over the air), bluray, DVD and and other apps that come our way. That can make it far more versatile than smart TVs and current media streamers.
Can the PS4 do something similar? possibly, but the Xbox one is showing more potential to utilise the entertainment market.
As of right now i see X1 being second overall but still selling more then the 360 in its lifetime.
The ps4 will win the gen and most people can figure out by now.
As for ninty i seeing being a distant 3rd and left wayyyy behind in sales unless they do something drastic to attact hardcore/casuals as selling 4 mill upto this point is not good enough
By march whenthe number come out I can almost bet money the wii u will be in 3rd place. The snotbox will have to have major issues to be in 3rd place.

iTunes is free to download. You don't have to buy iTunes. X1 is expensive. If you want a TV that does what X1 does...there are much less expensive alternatives.
i can see X1 falling short eventually. It's the nonremovable hdd.I'm pretty sure some of you can eat through 500(365)gbs of space. They know some of you need more space so some of you will end up voiding your warranties to add more space which will earn them money and save them money on repairing or replacing consoles. If not that they may allow external hdds like nintendo and knowing how greedy they are they'll only allow official ones made by them. But if you're lucky they'll allow third party ehdd. So keep your eyes peeled for what's to come as X1 grows. will it be a gem or a turd.
I expect wii u to pull a u-turn at some point(no pun intended), as it seems to be already. I'm not sure about ps4, I do want one but I dunno what to expect yet I've been gone from the sony community for far too long.
I think it's doubtful. As unappealing as I find it, the Xbone is nowhere near the train wreck that is Wii U.
Xbox one and PS4. Maybe a WiiU for the good games on Wii, and some Zelda U goodness. But no, I think the mainstream market is going PS4 or X1, especially after a price drop.
Nope, but it might be closer between Wii U and Xbox One that was initially thought, considering how its sales seem to have fallen off a cliff.
Where did you pull sales fallen off a cliff for the Xone from your ass lol?

Uh no, they are practically tied, PS3 announced 80mill 2 weeks or so after the 360.

No simply because of Microsoft's relationship with 3rd parties. It will be a DISTANT second though and will not be considered a success.
I'd say anyone of the consoles could end up in 3rd place, as it's still way too early to tell. Microsoft's relationship with 3rd parties is not as strong as it used to be.
lol wii-u is not going to surpass xbox one they sold over 3 million without any blockbuster games like halo and its priced $100 higher I think people are underestimating it
That could just be from new console hype feeding off the 360, and remember the 3ds sold like crap for awhile.

XB1 has great exclusives. You're just a bias troll. XB1 will do fine, especially after then cut the price and release a SKU without the Kinect. Wii U is still to expensive to me and most gamers. Then need to get that system down to $200 if they want more sales.
Xbox always has had the worst exclusive catalog of the Big 3 and that won't change this generation. Titanfall is a HUGE downgrade from Gears of War.
We'll see. Titanfall is online only unlike Gears, so there is a difference. XBox 360 has over 170 exclusives. Many of them are excellent. PS3 had almost 2 years of exclusive flops before MGS IV got released. PS3 exclusive catagory didn't start getting good until it's 3rd and 4th year on the market. XBox 360 was the total opposite. It had tons of great exclusives from day one. Then it died down after 2011.
LOL
I guess you forgot about games like Kameo & Full Auto. 360 had many flops too.
A lot of those "170 exclusives" are kinect titles. MS release more Kinect related titles in the past 3 years than they have core titles.

X1 will not finish in 2nd or 3rd, rather it will finish in a distant 1st. PS4 is a great system, and although they would have been better off going with a Cell 2 processor and including a camera with the bundle, it will still outdo the pitiful Wii U by miles. That being said, X1 is selling like hotcakes, and it's 1st party titles are going to push it into 1st place in the near future.
Nope. It'll likely be a close second.
X1 >>>>> WiiU in terms of 3rd party support.
That's how I see this generation turning up.

First, let me say that I'll eventually have both. That being said, the PS4 is just a hardware upgrade. The Xbox One is next gen.
The PS4 has already peaked. Yes, games will eventually look better, but the PS4 brings nothing new to the table other than prettier graphics. The XB1 is using Azure. Once cloud-base multiplayer features really kick in, the PS4 will be in trouble. Plus, the XB1 has a lot going for it outside of gaming.
