Could you seriously go trough this generation with just a xabox360/PS3?

i would probably get bored of the generic shooters after 2 weeks.

LOL you should know PS3 and 360 are not about shooters only so my answer to you is yes Wii is a great console but its something you get bored of it very fast Nintendo should work on more good games not on motion control only.

With the 360?Probably. The PS3? Id probably wait until next gen to start gaming again at this point.

It's the reason why I have a 360.....it has the games/genres I'm mostly interested in. And XBL is just the icing on the cake.

I also have a DS Lite and getting a PSP/PS3 soon....so I couldn't be more happier.

Out of those I just have a 360. No way could i get through this gen with just a 360. Haven't touched it since RE5.

I have been playing "generic shooters" on my 360 for over a year now and Im definetely not bored. And also Street Fighter IV of course, as well as other games such as Prince of Persia, Assasin's Creed, and stuff.

To be honest if I sold my Wii, I wouldn't really notice. My girlfriend uses the Wii for Wii Fit, so she would notice though so I can't sell it. My 360 and my PS3 get my attention while I am home and my PSP and DS when I am out so, I need those too.:D

A 360: Yes

A PS3: Probably not from launch, but now certainly.

A Wii: Nope

A PSP: Not at launch, but now....probably still not.

A DS: Probably.

Yes, very easily. I really don't care for any of the 360's exclusives. I'm selling my 360 if Microsoft doesn't at the very least humor me with something I'm interested in at E3. I won't miss it. The PS3 is the only system I have even remotely cared about this gen. (the wii was fun for a day. that is sad!)

As for the second part, maybe because they have both simply because they actually have JOBS and make more money than YOU do. Or maybe they just enjoy PS3 (aside from BR player) and 360 for the games ;)

I have all 3 consoles and a decent gaming PC and tbh im feeling sightly overwhelmed by the abundance of games. Yet it seems games are lacking if you only have one console. I wish it was back to last gen. (Loved my ps2)

What is an xabox? All this time there was another console I hadn't even heard of!

Also, if you get tired of generic shooters, why not play the good ones? Generic games of any genre get stale fast. But, if you get tired of FPS then just play any of the other types of genres.

i had first only a 360 now i hav a ps360 and i am happy. the 360 multiplats, exclusives and xbla games plus the blu ray 1080 hd movie and sony exclusive are great. ur topic should be can u really go thru this gen wih only a wii not xbox/ps since both xbox and ps3 are great stand alones but wii has noting compared to those 2 HD consoles

Hell, I just picked up a copy of Devil May Cry 4 CE for $30 CAD tonight. Anyone could easily survive this generation with only a 360 or PS3. More so the 360 but now the PS3 is catching up. The Wii is still leagues behind and will always be a secondary or tertiary console.

Many people live a grind. There is so much to explore and do in life but they won't until hey, it's too late.
That's when they suddenly feel like they should have.
They drink one brand of beer, eat one kind of pizza, etc.
They're really booooooooo/-/oooring people, and they only own a 360 or a ps3.
Or that's what i've been told by, sssh, the little angel.
