im no cow, but i am buying it. i feel sorry for my friend who bought shadowrun for the 360, it sure is not worth 60.00. but yep ill be dling warhawk for 39.99
Why would 29.95 be the right price...Have you played the game. Its certainly a great price for a game of its value in my opinion. Adrian_Cloud
Well, for a multiplayer only game that you can download (meaning, it probably doesn't have 40 maps or anything like that), I would say that $29.95 seems more like a better price for something of that nature. This is why I had ZERO intention of buying Shadowrun. $59.95 for a multiplayer only game with a limited number of game modes and maps is a ripoff. $39.95 is better, but still a bit too high.
Oh, and have YOU played the game? How else can YOU make the statement "its certainly a great price for a game of its value in my opinion."???
I would have thought that $29.95 was the right price. Just wondering if Cows are going to rush out and download it at this price.REVENGEotSITH

[QUOTE="ssjgoku808"]Yes i would but im buying it retail for headset for 69.99Bread_or_Decide
Thats 59.99 with a headset.

I've played it extensively, and I think it is an excellent game. However I will be getting the bundle just because it's the better value IMO.
I heard it comes with a headset. If so, that's a good deal to me.
lol forget it. didn't read the posts after.

There was a beta a while back. It ran around the time of the Halo 3 Beta, give or take a week.
Well, you can play a beta or a demo and geta sense for the game, the controls, etc., but I don't think you can assess VALUE from them. The value in something like this comes from the number of game modes, maps, etc. - all which translate to longevity. $60 for something you play through once isn't a great value. $60 for something that you put hundreds of hours into is. Thus, why I asked him if he's played the full game or not - the only way you can truly assess the game's value and whether it is worth $39.95.

I can easily make that statement since i'm very interested in this game, and the amount of gameplay variety it offers. Add 20$ for a measly 8 hour single player, i think not. Thats more of a rip off.

Buying downlodable content is totally different to buying a fully fledged game. I think the price points are good for both versions although ill be getting the downloadable version as i already have a sweet headset. If gears of war was released on both Dvd and the Xbox store for $39 and $59 would that be unacceptable?

Hell no that wouldnt be acceptable. The price would need to be the same across the board. Unless the Xbox store version had 40% less content than the dvd version.

yes but the original question was "is $39.99 a good price for the GAME itself?" No one else was talking about DL content and its true that charging for maps n stuff that could be free is bs but what can you do.

I played the beta for almost two months straight (many, many hours) and i can't wait to play again. Personally, I haven't had that much fun online since Socom 2, and for me that's saying a lot. And I think that the beta of this game was pretty much the full version.

I think this is my first "fanboy" statement in the boards, here it goes:
Not every game is meant to be played once and be traded... cough....Gears of cough war...
Why would 29.95 be the right price...Have you played the game. Its certainly a great price for a game of its value in my opinion. Adrian_CloudI disagree. It's a watered down battlefiled clone with mediocre graphics and dodgy controls, at least in my mind. I think it's $10 too much, basicaly. $40 is too much for an impulse buy, and impulsiveness would be the only thing that would make me download this game. The on foot aiming SUCKS, and in the air it's a skill-free lock on missle fest.
Then again, I'm not exactly what you would call a 'cow.'

Nothing. Just that cows "claim ownage" on the lemmings for paying for dl content.

ur constant attempts of getting cows "OWNED" makes u look pretty fanboyish urself :roll:grayfox_2kCan you honestly say to yourself that I actually care what you think about me? Point of the matter remains, I think for the amount of maps and the price its a very sweet deal for the game. Sheep shouldn't talk considering they are getting raped on the VC prices. Lems shouldn't talk because they are paying for desktop themes and avatars.

It never pays to trade it in. Better off selling it to a friend and getting far more then gamestop offers. They'll give you 25 for gears and turn around and sell it used for 56. Barely even a discount above SRP.

So true. I haven't traded in one game since I got an ebay seller's account. You will get ripped off if you trade to EB or GS, that much is a guarantee.
