I know how absurd it sounds at this point, but surely there must still be some Cows still left out there that beli3v3 the PS3 is going to win.

Actually more people believe in the PS3 now than b4r, so i think a lot of us considering there is a 6 million playstation 3 install base according to the recent update from sony. The PS3 is doing well and will do better sorry you cant accept that, but w/e i dont understand people liek you anyways, so keep on bashing the PS3 but you'll see VERY SOONJAMES_L_BROOKS

Did you not see the MGS4, GT5 and KZ2 footage at E3? And with FF13, Ratchet & Clank, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Little Big World, etc etc etc, the PS3 will DOMINATE.

lol well last i checked before it was around 3.4 illion, so 4.5 million is stilla an improment by 1 million units, so that is still a HUGE AMOUNT, so stop trying to shoot down everything that is said because no one like when people are annoying like that

Great point. Is it sales? Is it quality or quantity of games? Last gen, Sony "won" on sales and xobox "won" on reliability and quality.

my friend is a prime example of a die-hard sony fan. he's already got a ps3 inspite of the lack of decent titles(uncharted, heavnly). he was no fps nut before,but he's got call of duty on ps3 and a hdtv.

if i had his money i'd have bought the 360and then the ps3because of the insane 07 line up.

well, the pc and ps2 had a pretty solid lead for most of last gen so it wasn't likely that the gc or xbox would catch up but things are still pretty close right now all across the board so it's too early to tell.

A console has never come back from 7-8 million consoles down in any generation to take the sales lead. Also the PS3 has still not outsold the 360 in any month, See COWS the PS3 actually has to OUTSELL the 360 each and every month for it to gain on the user base deficit. You can't gain on them by being outsold every month like the PS3 is dong.swanlee

I think it's not a stretch saying it's making a comeback - dramatic increase in PS3 sales, slowed down 360 sales - sounds like a comeback to me. Also need to realise - Holiday season millions of consoles are sold. Sometimes a console will sell nearly as much in a month as it does in the rest of the year (nov/decish). So it's really not as cut and dry as you would -love- for it to be.

i knew someone would respond like this.

the thread title say "COWS"...blah blah blah ps3 is teh doomed" so i explained why cows would still think the ps3 was going to win. some of them are very very good reasons.

if the thread title was "does anyone still think" i would have said STFU and wait a year or two into the console wars. of course the ps3 would have to sell an astronomical amount tobest the wii. But don't make stupid threads like its impossible.

analysts themselves have observed thatinterest in the wii could diminish.

the fact that people are actually glad thatthe wii is winning is kinda irritating. Why would you want something so annoyingly rudimentary to win

In terms of AA/AAA games I see 360 in 1st place while the Wii and PS3 duke it out for #2.

Track the sales yourself. 6 million is the shipped figure, not sold. It's not even close to 6 million sold.

You really don't understand that the name itself is more powerful than the other two consoles. Whether the games are good or not is debatable, but on sales? I've seen people bring up the 3DO when saying PS3 will fail(not in this thread but other threads), again the Sony brand and Playstation name are huge and for some reason lemmings and sheep forget that.

PS3 will win in terms of sales, and sooner than people think.

Much Less than 100k a month in the second largest region in the world was never enough to win before. We've never seen a turnaround like the one the PS3 would have to pull in order to even come close to breaking 50 million worldwide by the end of 4-5 years (the generation's lifespan). The Wii is the hottest home console in history, and the PS3 is the biggest tank in history (even more so than the N64). That would be a monumental flop. No, not even that. It wouldshatter the space-time continuum.

Any sense of economics or even just plain common sense would show you that the PS3 isn't going to "win" this generation.

PS3 already wins. It's the most powerful with best graphics and doesn't break. :lol:casey7672
