Created an account to troll ? Anyways the skate 2 demo was pretty horrible I liked the 1st one ALOT more it seems like a rip off of Tony hawks underground rather then a skate game.Gh0st_Of_0nyx
Granted it's a demo and yea really only get about 10 min to play...IMO everything seemed smoother ..The additional tricks/how you can move obstacles around..Grafx seemed updated
I am a bit surprised that if yea enjoyed the first that the second was not up to par....What did yea not like about it?
[QUOTE="subrosian"]That's nothing, I heard the Xbox 360 version has three more pixels than the PS3 version :o ... these graphics debates always amuse me ;)KillfoxDid you find those extra pixels anywhere??? I couldnt seem to find them. Yes, there are three red pixels on the 360 that you cannot find on the PS3 ;) - Oh c'mon, someone had to make the misplaced RROD comment, it might as well come from the people intelligent enough to realize the whole PS3 vs. 360 thing is a joke. Enjoy whichever one you own - anyone spending $200+ to get a new system over marginal graphic differences is being absurd. I mean really, if you want to drop $200+, get a GeForce 260 and see some real differences :P - Fun times though :)

how is it a rip off of underground? they added a way to get off the skateboard but tony hawk game didn't have the ability too move objects around in actual single player. tony hawk games had skatepark mode, couldnt do that in single player.
i just wish there was a way to make objects titled like what people see in skateboard videos:
see how theere are stairs in the background to make the talbe slanted
But in Skate you do play from the Camera Man's perspective. When I read it I thought Lens Flare was a Sweedish skater...and was like who the heck cares.
To be honest I hate lens flare...it's not natural and is irritating. When you look at the sun you don't see lens flare...only if you look at the sun with a camera. When i'm playing video games I don't want to play the cameraman. To me I prefer no lens flare...I wish we could turn it off becuase I'llb e playing the 360 version.

Well might be with the intention to make it run on par with the 360 version which runs at 60fps,so they sacrificed some graphical effects on the ps3 to achieve 60fps.McdonaIdsGuyI doubt it, its probably becuase the devs could not get it done on time for the ps3...

Both versions've been in development at the same time so i don't know from where you got the excuse of the time :| Its common knowledge that the ps3 is harder to develop for, thats why games like fallout 3 end up looking better on the 360 version... I doubt the devs would purpously get rid of a graohical feature just to annoy ps3 owners, and i doubt the ps3 is incapable of doing that when the ps3 already has better looking games... Most of the time there has to be way more devs working on a ps3 version of a multiplat game to get it to the same standards as its just more complicated to use, so the 360 version could be further in development. Though to be honest I dont know why were just taking TC's word for it, its just an observatin he made which could be affected by his biases, or his TV settings... But yeah, the ps3 does take longer to make games for...
Who'd have thought that the subject of Lens Flare could generate a 7 page thread?
That's kind of amazing...
I downloaded the PS3 and 360 versions of the Skate 2 demo and i noticed the PS3 version didnt have lens flare. For those that dont know what lens flare is, its a effect used in some games when your playing under the sun and it makes a cool reflection as it would look if the sun was being shot and certain angles through a camera lens. Its kind of hard to explain but its a cool looking effect, Motorstorm PR uses it a lot and it looks cool and its on the 360 demo but not the PS3 version i noticed.
Another example of lens flare is in fight night round 3 in the wharehouse level, the way it looked sometimes the light coming through the windows during certain angles.. Sorry cows, better luck with Skate 3
Is this worth creating a new account? Also, it's a demo. For all we know the PS3 version could have lens flare in the final build.Who'd have thought that the subject of Lens Flare could generate a 7 page thread?

Micropixel
Lens Flare is part of the graphics, and by the looks of it people really do care for graphics.
Bruv Jog on you probably dont own A console.I downloaded the PS3 and 360 versions of the Skate 2 demo and i noticed the PS3 version didnt have lens flare. Is this verifiably true? Because, frankly, I don't believe you.
Then again, it's so unimportant that it really doesn't matter either way.
That mirror's my thoughts. To the TC First off, its a demo. To say what you see in the demo is the finished work is just plain lost. They usually use older code to create the demos. Second, you are talking about such a minute detail that 99% of us won't even miss it or care. Third, I don't believe you own a PS3 for a second.I downloaded the PS3 and 360 versions of the Skate 2 demo and i noticed the PS3 version didnt have lens flare. Oh my god looks like a PS3 killer. No Flares!!!!!. Seriously your first post is about flares in skate 2 demo? Holy Cow:o
please somebody post the lul wut pic :DGiancar
Lul what.
rofl...a Spore lul what pear! That just gave me a great idea for a LBP level lolI don't think anyone is going to care about that. I sure as hell don't.cloudff7tmAgreed. The cows are so owned! This is totally more important than all the great exclusives coming to PS3 this year... /sarcasm Judging from your level and posts, Halozone90 you're new here: here's some advice - don't say stupid things, and people won't laugh at you :)

kind of. i think the most newest one is proving grounds. i watched the review (here i gues i can't link the review. i looked at the 360 proving ground review ) in a game mode there is a part where u have to go to point A to point B without touching the ground. that's doesn't really have to do with skateboarding or anything of the sport.
who ever started this thread has way too much time on his hands, and why are ps3 owners cows? thats gotta be the dumbest thing i ever heardasuredwolf53
They just are.
