I went from Xbox to PS3. Never had a PS2.
Part of the reason I went PS3 actually, the other part was the RROD and the PS3 just had more of what I wanted in a system included.

Except for the games... unfortunately.
no,PS3 has more exclusvies(in future ) and the PSn is free ^_^I'm sure a lot of people buy systems out of brand loyality...
I admit that if Wii wasn't made by Nintendo, I probably wouldn't have gotten it. But then again, that same system wouldn't have Super Mario Galaxy and other first party Nintendo titles, so I guess I did have reasons, sort of.
That their first 6-7 million were mostly sales from people who just thought that the Playstation brand was 'The Brand' and for the blu-ray.ultimate_123
Or most people wanted to upgrade from the PSOne or PS2 to a PS3. You know, just like you did from the XBOX to the 360

Thats subjective, it had plenty of great games. Heck I recall MS fanboys defending their console because of Dead Rising until GEOW came out. I was never in need of games with the PS3 and it was also great for movies which is my other hobby.
Is this some radical form of damage control or something? Because you can use this logic on any console, just as Vectah_Sigma stated.
If you loved Xbox, you would most likely buy the 360 without caring what games it had, since you believed MS would deliver.
So...yeah. Fail?
