Still think they should of given gamers a option, the option of creating an offline or a online campaign game so you could use the destruction. Complete destruction in campaign in an open world game wouldn't make much sense for any single players such as me and all this time, they could've done that.
I don't know, MS needs to show something worthwhile at Gamescon and I am worry about the lack of news on the PC version. TBH, I'm not even sure if I'll do the hype thread and unless Crackdown 3 showing at Gamescon turns out to be lackluster, I'll try to do the hype thread for it. (might)
? Looks absolutely mediocre both from a gameplay and graphics perspective. This is what MS has been investing in while Sony has games like HZD, Infamous SS, God of War 4, Spiderman, TLOU 2, etc.? Damn, no wonder they are getting outsold almost 3:1 worldwide. This game looks like a 2007 360 game in 4K lol. Waiting for the inevitable flop. I feel bad for the devs, game looks like it was stuck in development hell and MS will probably shut down the studio after the game flops.
It's not a very good video and this is Alpha, so it's hard to say. Doesn't do much for me honestly, but then again I was never a big Crackdown fan I barely played the first game I think. This didn't really change my perception of the game, I always knew it was a goofy open world game, and this video shows that.
Gameplay looks like generic open world stuff but I'll reserve judgement for the final version. How many open world games have stellar gameplay outside of BOTW? Yeah, not that many, they all follow pretty much a similar structure, so as long as this game feels good and plays decent, it should accomplish what it is aiming for...goofy fun.
This is for Crackdown fans and it's nice Microsoft is continuing the series for them, I don't know yet if I will get this but I will wait until I see gameplay from final footage to make that determination. I like the setting though and I hope they improve the graphics for the final version.
Seems like one of those games in Just Cause territory. Nothing I'd buy at full price, nothing I'd really invest myself in. But if it were 10 bucks and I just wanted some quick mindless fun... maybe? Probably not.

I believe environmental destruction is an online only feature, if every single player experience used cloud computing to handle the load then I imagine that would be rather costly.
Anyhow, this game is just not interesting me. I didn't like the games last gen, I was hoping with all the time in development and new hardware they could squeeze out something more impressive looking but this still looks like a last gen game. Still looks like it plays like a generic sandbox. The only redeeming value the series ever had was it had the Halo 3 Beta tied to it. Compared to Sunset Overdrive it just looks very unremarkable, maybe MS should pay Insomniac to take the reigns of this IP, after they make a Sunset Overdrive sequel of course.

The crackdown games dont need the very best graphics, the gameplay in these games is what makes this game so fun to play.

Crackdown had me climbing up buildings in a very fun way to collect orbs that would upgrade you, It had me planning on how to kill the bosses in each different area of the world, and had a blast doing it.

Crackdown is a very enjoyable game, get over it ffs. Graphic whores like yourself need to get lost. MS has tons of great games that have great graphics and alot that dont but still asre great games.
