inFamous. I have faith in Sucker Punch's awesome level design and artistic style :)
And the gameplay looks fantastic.
Crackdown > Infamous because MS didnt make us wait 10 years to play it., -GhostMLD-Wish I could say the same for Too Human.
[QUOTE="Juggernaut140"]What about APB? Would that count? nervmeisterWhat does APB stand for?

I'm pretty sure it's by the guys behind Crackdown
Let's hope Infamous has some variety in it's gameplay and it's not just: shoot a lightening bolt out your hand, go here, shoot some more people, shoot the big guy.
Let's hope it's got some other stuff to do in the city.
Agreed. They better not half-@ss it.Let's hope Infamous has some variety in it's gameplay and it's not just: shoot a lightening bolt out your hand, go here, shoot some more people, shoot the big guy.

based on the vid posted in this thread it is. I thought it was going to be a great game, but now I see it isn't worth my time.Let's hope Infamous has some variety in it's gameplay and it's not just: shoot a lightening bolt out your hand, go here, shoot some more people, shoot the big guy.

aww man Infamous looks like SWFU with modern setting. I was always under the impression you would be some type oof super hero wher you customize your powers. I am no longer interested in the game now.too_much_eslim
Didn't the guy say in the interview that you would be able to upgrade to different abilities as you progress through the game?
Or maybe I'm just hearing things.

H e said your powers improve, but it is all about electricity. Ithought there would be more powers.[QUOTE="Aljosa23"]Prototype.-Renegade
You do know the Prototype developers took the game back to the drawing board after seeing Infamous right?
Proof to back that up?

Yes it is, and looks pretty awesome. :DI played crapdown and i wasnt impressed,it was over way too fast, and call me a fanboy but i wasnt impressesd.
Infamous looks like a force unleashed ripoff and prototype looks like a cross between assassins creed and the darkness...which i
like.
I think Infamous will be the best
Prototype second
and Crackdown the least. It was fun, the coop was fun. But to short and non existant story killed it for me.
oh and GTA 4 will be the best sandbox game out of all these.
1- GTA 4
2- Infamous
3- Saints Row 2
4- Prototype
5- Saints Row
6- Assassins Creed
7- Crackdown
that is my rundown. I consider No More Heroes more action, then sandbox.
inFamous looks sick as hell but right now I'm going with Prototype just because Radical also made Hulk Ultimate Destruction which was fantaseriffic. Both games are being made by awesome development teams so you can expect them both to be great. Crackdown was fun but I never really got into it as much as I know I could have and it might have had to deal with the storyline structure and how it was set up.
One more thing I hope they fix the running animaton for Cole in inFamous he runs around like he has a stick in between his ass lol.

 no they didn't. They pushed it back after GTA 4 was released and the big buzz word has been that they did it because of GTA 4.I'm not fully informed on either upcoming game (I own Crackdown though. It was fun while it lasted I guess). But honestly Prototype seems like it'd be more my style. Infamous looks good too though.
Hell, I dunno. I just like sandbox games in general.

Well I am tracking someone who is working at Vivendi Games and well I'll let him sum it up for you. I believe him because he confirmed the trophy images going around were real before Sony announced them.
i work at Vivendi Games, and i used to see Prototype out on the floor EVERY DAY i came into work.
in all seriousness, that game has NOTHING on inFamous.
the city looked like it was ripped from the map of Spider-Man 3 (the PS3 and 360 versions).
the animations for the main character in Prototype aren't nearly as fluid (but i'm willing to give the animations the benefit of the doubt, since that's more of a polish thing).
the story seemed practically non-existent, and the only fun part i saw of the gameplay was running up buildings (he didn't climb them, he just kind of "skated" up them, like Spider-Man does when he's wall-running).
also, the combat was kind of weak, outside of his shapeshifting powers.
in short, i understand why they took it off the floor and back to the drawing board.
the premises of the two games are quite different also, and i don't understand the constant comparisons to Crackdown and Prototype anyway. why? because they are open world and star a character that can do things no ordinary man or woman can do? yeah, welcome to the world of VIDEO GAMES.
from what i've seen of inFamous and Prototype, and played of Crackdown (i beat the game), it's like comparing Super Mario Bros. to Ratchet and Clank; they may have similarly colorful worlds and cartoon-****characters, but the gameplay is vastly different.
another thing, is that the combat in Prototype, as well as Crackdown and the Spider-Man games, is very separate. when Spidey is swinging through the city, it's like a totally different game than when he is fighting villains, which generally takes place on the ground.
from what i've seen of inFamous, i like the way Sucker Punch have intertwined Cole's natural athletic "urban explorer" climbing/locomotion abilities, with his newly found electricity-based abilities. you can see that in the gameplay presentation from gamespot, where he's hanging from street poles and buildings, using it as cover while he blasts away at bad guys (and innocents if you're so inclined). Prototype lacked that, as do the latest Spider-Man games; the combining of Spidey's webslinging abilities with his athletic, offensive abilities is a staple of the comics, sorely missing from the games.
anyway, i think inFamous looks to have Prototype on lock down in terms of immersion, animation, most certainly graphics, and even story, and since it's coming from the Sly Cooper guys, i'm expecting the controls to be ROCK SOLID, because the Sly games have some excellently smooth controls.
so far, Sony's first and second party, established studios have really been stepping it up this generation (Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Zipper), and we still haven't heard from a quarter of them yet on what they're working alone, let alone half, or all of them.A
