i'm glad its not storyline centered. i've played enough gta and gta knockoffs and done the fetch quests. its cool to just do whatever you want, and progress in the game by doing so. shouldve been 8.5
If you base your purshases on a single source ratings , then you're quite dumb ( sorry for those who do ). the game overall score is 8.5 ( gameranking) . But , unfortunately , We're in SW , which is part of Gamespot , and the rules is that , only GS score count :P. Which bring some of the most pointless bash fest that can be found on the internet :DÂ which is quite funy at time ( Yo_foo thread are most likely the most senseless things you will ever read ) , or EXTREMELY annoying at other time ( Cows bash fest on Zelda TP ))
I played the demo and I loved it!! It is not going to win game of the year by a long shot but the fun factor is through the roof on this one I love good stories for RPG's and shooters but for sandbox style games the manner in which the story is told can be really tedious. The story lines from the GTA series were boring to me, same goes for Saints Row, nothing is worse than waiting through a crappy FMV to get a half baked premise to go blow crap up or worse..........make a delivery My first impressions of Crackdown is less fuss more fun!
It doesn't matter. It was hyped AA and got a 7.8, it flopped. It's someone opinion, if yours is diffrent and you like the game, then enjoy it but stop making threads about it. (I mean everyon who is making threads about it should stop)
^^^The only reason people make threads like this is because gamespot is often off the mark when it comes to reviews regardless of which system This game is miles above Wario Ware (9.1) and Perfect Dark Zero (9.0) There is no way that Crackdown is a AAA game but it definitly deserves to be considered better than these two peices of crap I guess my point is that as long as gamespot decides to review games with no real standards topics like this are inevitable (and anoying) The only good thing to come out of a topic like this is that it sends the powers that be that their rating system is junk and a level of consistency is needed

Just got it today and looking forward to playing it tonight. The Halo 3 beta inclusion (I have to be honest) sealed the deal for me. I don't look at it totally as dropping $60 since the trade-in value will be high for a while ($25 - $30) and I can always combine additional trade-in offers to get about $40 back. Thus, $20 to play CD for a couple of months, with the Halo 3 beta thrown in there, is worth it for me, if I do end up trading the game in.
