I wouldn't say that. Crackdown is selling a lot better than Motorstorm.

:? How does sales have to do anything about which game looks better? Motorstorm isn't even out in the US yet, Microsoft currently have a significantly larger fanbase right now, and casuals love those sanbox/GTA forbidden>

Let me ask you something Carlos. Have you played the final version of Motorstorm? Not in a store either but the full game at a house.

I'm going by the pics and GT videos. Like I said, the graphics are ok. I just think CD is more refined.

I've played Crackdown, the art style is great but the game is not a graphics powerhouse. Bad textures, everything smooth, and bland as if it's a comic book. ;)

Well. if you knew anything about graphics (not saying you don't) -- it's far more difficult to achieve CD's comic book style than it is to slap some dry maps on some optimized polygons.

It's not the process that interests me but the end result. Cel-shading is quite complex and a pain to do but that doesn't change the fact that Motorstorm looks better. I can understand you liking an art style more but the technical side is a different beast altogether.

It looks better to you. To me Motorstorm's environments look primitive, but then again I've used 3D applications intensively and probably pay attention to things others ignore.

IMO Crackdown is a far richer tapestry and superior work of art.

Perhaps not to you, but anyone who knows about graphics they are. Motorstorm actually betrays the PS3s flaws. The backgrounds are crude with washed out textures and blurring is used to hide things like jaggies. It's pretty basic.

CD on the other hand is FULL of detail, both in terms of polygon density and textures and draw distances.

It wins without a fight.

Crackdown blows graphically when compared to MotorStorm. Please understand this. MotorStorm has no jaggies. I have yet to see any jaggy in the demo that I own. Those pictures were probably resized. Both Gamespot and IGN rated MotorStorm higher in the graphics department. Oh and about 90 percent of the folks that posted have said that MS looks better than Crackdown. Even lemmings admit this. If you were to ever write or type reviews, I would never, ever take you seriously. Sad...

Some will like crackdown more some will like motorstorm more. I like the motorstorm game concept, but in execution it sucks (just not fun to play). Crackdown...I don't like the game genre, but it was well. executed so it's ok. They both fail in my eyes.

Why does this game look better in pics then in real life? I never get it. I've seen it on several HD sets adn it looks just blurry and smoky, but in these shots it looks great. But still the gameplay as meh...

He will never admit that he self-owned himself. Nothing can ever be greater than the 360 and it's games in his opinion. LoL!

Both of them surprisingly flopped for the exact same reason. They were excellent, fun games that ended up being too short on content.
