these are the pics Annoyed Dragon provided. even though the ps3 version off scree, you could tell it is missing a lot. the most noticeable thing is that most of the grass is gone and your standing on dirt. second, the entire mountain is devoid of vegetation on the ps3 version. you really can't make out the rock face of the mountain on the ps3 version. it just looks like a pastel painting. gotta say this: pc just handed the ps3 an ass whooping with a 2 year old game. it's not all that bad. at least the game could actually run on the ps3 and 360. if they tried to use the cryengine 2, forget it. the ps3 would've exploded and the 360 would have gone nuclear.
I see a lot of people saying how it looks similar to crysis on medium minus some things such as grass and lod objects on the console version. Let me tell you personally that the console versions are processesing and running much more graphics than crysis on medium. For months I had to barely run crysis on medium on my old pc, but with this behemoth I got recently, playing on very high is a great leap. Watching these vids of the console versions, they share very many characteristics with crysis running on very high.

Thanks for calling me a PS3 fanboy, that rounds it all out. I've been called a fanboy of each platform at least once. If you would even look at my post history I'm mainly a PC gamer but I'm nt a PC fanboy, so GTFO. Also it does look a lot better than the old videos, this is judging from i've seen with my eyes, I don't give a rats ass what you think, this is me making my own assumption from what I've seen and this is what I think. No amount of fanboy drivvel or Hermit bullying will make me change that. I said the PC version looks superior, quite a bit superior but that doesn't stop the PS3 version from looking damn good, or the 360 version for that matter[QUOTE="zipozal"]

So for those of you who havent seen it, the old footage of CryEngine 3 was broken down when it came out from GDC
Here's that footage
And the settings they established that Crysis was running on, on the PS3
Settings on High = Shaders and Object Geometry
Low=Textures
Medium= Everything else
Now new footage from GC has come out and we've had some ridiculous claims here Such as the seemingly unanimous consensous from PS3 fanboys that this is what the PC Version looks like on a mix of very high at 720P (which will probably turn out to be 600P when crysis 2 hits consoles lmao)
or this example quote Im_single: "Those console vids are from ages ago, the engine looks 10X better now." Really 10x eh?
Obviously exaggerating, but the consensus among the PS3 fanboys seems to be the game looks much better than it did at GDC even though the only footage we have from GC is off screen....
Never the less if there is a significant difference we should be able to see a difference when we match screens from the same scene. So lets take a look at the screens.....

Fanboy or not you are acting like one, being as irrational right now as the people who think the dinosaurs were only a few thousand years ago.
The screenshots above were taken straight from the GDC and GC demo and you said the new GC footage was far superior.
Now you maybe able to get away with that crap sometimes, but I took the time to take a screenshot from each so while you can cry to everyone here to death that the GC footage is (Like 10x better!) but the screenshots don't lie, they look EXACTLY the same.
So stop making a fool of yourself pushing this silly argument, you have screens of the footage right in front of you... Do either of the pics look significantly better then the other?Of course not.
Go get the screens for yourself if you think I'm lying about one of those screens being from the GC footage.
Just because someone pisses you off by calling you a fanboy or whatever doesn't mean you have to cling to a thought that's factually been proven false. I see this to much in system wars, put that ego aside for a minute, look at the screens, look at the videos side by side if you have to, they are EXACTLY the same.
It is pretty funny how angry hermits get when people say that Cryengine 3 on consoles looks better than Crysis medium settings on pc. It will instantly cause at least 5 pages worth of hermit e-rage:
