That's because Crysis 2 was sold on 3 different platforms.
and it's also an established IP with two titles under it.This topic is locked from further discussion.

I'm quite sure this also doesn't include digital copies.
So now you know.
Good god, it's been 4 years, you're still jealous that Crysis 1 was PC exclusive?um...The reason crysis 2 failed is becasue Crysis 1 only had graphics...Console gamers are a little more discerning then PC gamers we actually get games to have fun...and not see if our rigs will fail to play the game so we have another reason to upgrade.

Never played crisis 1. So i was unbiased going into Crysis 2. That being said, I had alot of fun in the campaign. I enjoyed having the abilities to whoop alien butt... This game did a good job of making you feel "powerful" or "dangerous". The controls were tight, graphics were VERY good(for console of course), and it lasted a good length. No it wasn't completely open ended, but i did still feel HUGE with many options/ways to go about things. If this is what PC-gamers have come to call a "crap game" or a "franchise destroying" game, I would have to say, the games you guys like must be flawless MASTERPIECES.. Does fun factor into PC-gaming AT ALL these days? I know that's all that mattered to me back in my PC-elitest days, was fun and playing with friends online.dRuGGeRnaUt
I dont know what people find so hard to understand about why people who played and loved Crysis do not like Crysis 2 as much. Let me put this simply. Lets say you are a huge fan of Bioshock, because it is different to the other shooters out there in the market. Now imagine if Bioshock Infinate came out and you found out the developers had dropped or reduced the things that made Bioshock different in order to get a share of the CoD market. Are you seriously going to sit there and tell me that it would not bother you?
.
Ultimately this is not a question of which game is better, because each game has its strengths and weaknesses, it is a question of how the second game stands up to the first game to the fans of the first game, and in that respect the second game fails to live up to its predecessor. So when PC gamers do complain about Crysis 2, they do have some valid points (hell even reviewers have mentioned the areas in which Crysis 2 is a step backwards from Crysis). If you love Crysis 2, that is great, but take a few seconds and imagine how you would feel if Crysis 3 comes out and Crytek decide to reduce the suit powers, make the environments smaller and reduces the interactivity of the environment, all in order to make it also run on the Wii, and then get labeled a 360/PS3 elitist every time you complain about Crysis 3.
.
I find it ridicules that PC gamers are not allowed to complain about the direction a series is going without being labeled as elitist, while console gamers do it all the time. Some console gamers have this mentality that if PC gamers do not like the simplification or scale reduction of a game then they somehow do not like fun games (as if fun can be an objective thing), or that they are elitist, who disdain games. Of course all that goes out the window as soon as said game suddenly comes to consoles and then it is all good.
