This is due to the obvious graphical differences. The game looks better than KZ3 and UC2. We'll see if it's the best looking game of the year on consoles after Gears 3 and UC3 are released later this year. I'll even put Skyrim in it. 2011 = battle of teh graphics. MAD?

360 demo's are always larger in size than ps3's. it has nothing to do with the graphics, ps3 demo's are compressed, 360's arent. you dont have to extract 360 demos/install them.

Judging from a pirate torrent? It's more than likely they just removed the cutscene videos from the PS3 torrent just to save space.

Wasn't talking about demos.

360 multiplats always use up more disk space. example bad company 2 on 360 uses more space than it does on ps3.

I read people saying crytek get crysis 2 running on ps3 same as xbox360. That's kinda like saying crytek get crysis 2 running same on 8800 GT 512 mb as a 8800 GTX 768 mb. xbox360 is more powerful console it should be better performing version, it's not lack of developer skill.

Not mad, just bored that people troll so badly to get immediate attention... Alright, I'm falling for it. I don't think that any amount of impressive tech behind Crysis 2 on consoles could save it from looking like a mess so jagged I could cut myself. The excessive blur that was used wasn't even enough to stop the jaggies from showing through, so now we have a blurry, jagged mess. The game could simulate to the particle a waterfall with the water splashing realistically for all I care, but at that resolution and with that AA solution, I still wouldn't think it looked that great. The one aspect that shines to me is the lighting how it shines through smoke and sunshafts appear between leaves. However, one good aspect of the game (coincidentally also lighting) was not enough to stop KZ2 from losing the graphics title to UC2. That said, I'll probably get Crysis 2 PC in a month or so and run it maxed running in 1080p at ~25fps or more if I decide to upgrade.

developers have gone on record saying ps3's pixel fill rate is trash compared to xbox360. That's why black ops on ps3 and crysis 2 on ps3 has a lower display resolution than xbox360. Nvidia ditched rsx designed architectures and copied ati's 360 gpu design used in 580 gtx enough said.

I hope for PS3 only owners that this is false. One SPU working out of 6? So much for getting the most out of every system. I hardly even care how Crysis 2 on the PC looks anymore so long as I get to adjust the configs. I heard they were integrated now, so we'll see. Stupid preconfigured settings...

It does install, the 360 just does it on its own. On the ps3 you have to click to install.

nope crytek video interview i seen actually on n4g awhile back, he said sony engineer's helped them get cryengine working on ps3 and they're using one spu. crytek is too lazy to switch alot of stuff done on gpu on 360 to run on the ps3 cpu to match 360 version.

Trust me they did say it dude and im sure the video was posted here. They arent gonna change how the run the shaders on pc/360 just for ps3 would take too much development time. They definitely arent using spu's to assist with the shaders.

There's software rendering applications for pc dude, i can run crysis with only my cpu lol it's like 2 fps though.

crytek is only using spu's for basic functions like sound, physics, lighting calculation maybe.
