Crysis 2 is a full gig bigger on the 360 than PS3.

crytek is only using spu's for basic functions like sound, physics, lighting calculation maybe.Quake2islegend

I have to admit , Crysis 2 is good. But i dont agree with it being better then Killzone 3. Heck I dont even want to compare both of them. One game is set in a city with light, color . One is set in a city with horror, black,gray,orange. Why compare?

lol...i just find it so funny seeing so many users on this board talk about devs being lazy when we're sitting on our arses typing nonsense in a forum all day doing nothing productive. criticizing devs that have actually put in 2 or 3 years into making a game for our lazy arses to sit around and play:lol:

I read people saying crytek get crysis 2 running on ps3 same as xbox360. That's kinda like saying crytek get crysis 2 running same on 8800 GT 512 mb as a 8800 GTX 768 mb. xbox360 is more powerful console it should be better performing version, it's not lack of developer skill.Quake2islegend

The 360 has to share its memory where the PS3 doesn't. when they are both running there is very little difference between them. No doubt the game will still look better on 360 anyway

The Quake guy while abrasive might have a point. Why would Crytek reprogram the whole game to take advantage of the cell? The game looks good enough using conventional tecniques and from what I've seen in the videos the 360 and PS3 versions look about as similar as can be. I was actually surprised.

Crytek is useing the spu's 5 of them.

I guess its how effectivley you use them though.

Scroll down to the "ps3 cfg list" and look at the settings its running at.
