I hope some Crysis 2 maps will be like this.

The slide + melee to the face a 2:30 is pretty cool.

Screenshots, shows new features, upgrades to suit and guns, limited edition etc.

Just a reminder, Crytek has not forgotten the PS3 and it's graphics power.

are you sure the first link is a console footage? If that's true then WOW but it looks more like pc footage for me...

I'm a little skeptical about whether the footage is console or not. If you pay attention, all the people playing the multiplayer have a mouse and keyboard in front of them. Chances are they're just playing with a gamepad.

Already a thread about this. And apparently people are saying it's PC footage.

I was impressed in how underwhelming it was. Even more-so in the 'sandbox' gameplay footage. RIP Crysis.

Really? Looks more exciting than Killzone 2's boring MP. I bet Killzone 3 is going to have the same boring modes and limit size maps.

Please tell me you're being sarcastic? That footage was extremely underwhelming. It didn't help that everyone playing seemed to have the motor skills of a 5 year old. Footage needed more KB&M and Ninja speed jumps across the map.

It was pretty obviously staged. I think it's best we wait it out until we get proper footage, with the public playing.

Yeh, which was part of the problem. Also, not liking how grenades aren't just thrown like in the original Crysis, you have pull them out now. It slows down the gameplay.

I like some of my multiplayer games not to be so fast. I didn't like Crysis 1's MP at all.

My first thought when I saw the video at Gametrailers was that it was on PC with 360 control pads...if that is 360 then they may have a little magic up their sleeves...

Might be PC footage. The framerate was better than that in-doors scene where he blows up the mech (yeah, that one smelled of 20-30 fps and the resulting V-Sync chuggyness).

Obviously that is console footage, PC would never in a billion years look that bad. Probably played it at console settings. And this is one map with one mode being demonstrated by PC devs trying (failing) to use controllers, I wouldn't judge the whole game on this.

Care to show me a real gameplay video that does? The only thing that impresses me is the amount of plants and the complexity. Urban aspect is average, background looks good so yeah. I think some people are just calling it crap because apparently since Crysis's predecessor's arrived on consoles, they have a chance to bag it.

I wouldn't really call it noticeable. The only major pop-in I saw was that small tree that appeared when he scoped.

LOl I understanddude. Crytek are showing console footage and crappy screenshots so they don't hype people too much. Too much PC version would make everyone think they were the console versions.

This actually looks prety good if you can see past the crappness of the players....much better than crysis wars in my opinion! Im pretty sure its pc graphics as well! Crysis wars looks like ass on my computer compared to crysis warhead so hopefully the single player verson will look much better.

I didn't see the footage only the screens. If you played Killzone 2 you know it gets old fast.

I have an idea..WHy not go read the reviews on KZ2 before claiming that you know something? KZ2 ON THIS SITE is reccognized as one of the best over all FPS ever created on console. BUT im sure you already know that right??..OH and Ive played Crysis and I thought it was very lackluster for such a hyped up game.

First off I have Killzone2 and I played the mp a few nights ago. Also the first Crysis mp didn't have that much going for it besides that mode called Power Struggle and the massive size of the maps. Crysis 2 seems like its going to balance the MP better this time but still they only showed a few details about it more to be shown in the future.

That's PC footage, they're playing in front of their PC's, I know a lot of console fans don't know much about PC gaming, but plugging in your 360 pad into the PC is a breaze.

I can't believe people say that looks bad. What hyper-realistic games have you all been playing to say that looks bad? Certainly nothing I know of on the consoles.

The amount of detail this game has is pretty incredible. It's small details people are completely overlooking. The lighting is top notch, the particle effects are stellar, the destructible environments are neato, the whole game looks really fluid and full of detail.

It looked like it was the console version, or at least they are only showing the console version of the engine for marketing reasons. Highly staged, but again that was for marketing reasons.

Even though they decided to go with a smaller scale than Crysis 1, I can't hardly blame them. Crysis had a lot of neat things going for it, but the larger online levels really brought a level of technical bugs and overall gameplay sluggishness. The best combat happened when most of the players were in one area and the action with the suits was happening all around you. To be honest, this looks more fun. If they bring back elements of their old mode with all of this new persistent stuff, I'll be happy.

I'm still convinced they haven't shown off what Crysis 2 in DX 11 will look like on the PC. I'm sure it will be something of awe. It's not like they are going to just give us a half-assed port and make it look as good as the consoles. It's Cryteck, they are PC guys. They know they set the standards and are striving to reach them. They also know the money is on the consoles and were very smart to make the CryEngine 3 multiplat like they did.

Let's hope the PC version will be as awesome as Far Cry and Crysis were for their respective times. But the 'It's Cryteck, they are PC guys' point is mute one. I mean look at Infinity Ward, Epic, ...

I think it's either a gamepad on the PC or a PS3 version of the game. Because at 1:16, they don't really look like Xbox 360 controllers. I'm leaning towards the PC - though I can't understand why they wouldn't just use a KB+M then. But, it didn't look like there was must of an aim assist, and console shooters tend to love those. Then again, the footage was of an either really bad player [or the game was slower than I would of expected]. So I'm on the fence. Someone figure it out quick! Because, the fence is gay :(

Bump, new PC footage and off screen demo gameplay. Personally I think the first multiplayer footage on consoles was garbage. Why? Not because the gameplay was generic, or the graphics, it's because of the fail hermits using the controller and not using the nanosuit. The new PC footage is much faster paced.

I hope thats not even past medium settings. It doesn't have anything that made Crysis as impressive as it is. Not near as good particle effects, none of the awesome battle dust, the lighting is nothing impressive, shadowing is decent. Looked pretty sharp in some aspects though just not what Crysis brought. It is MP though.

Bring on maxed dx11 sp gameplay.

So this is what I think is new to AAA shooters in Crysis 2 multiplayer.

Stomping/aka Body slamming, I think knocks opponent off their feet or kills them outright if you land on them.

Slide and assasination combo.

Vertical movement, can you think of a AAA shooter that has this much?

Different reload animations for same gun.

Detaching of mounted machine guns for a porta rambo gun.

Anytime changing of speed, strength, armor or cloak abilities.

Nice, it doesn't look anything like Crysis MP. Not in the same galaxy.

Not enough to make it stand out in an overcrowded market atm.

With Medal of Honor, Black Ops, RAGE, Killzone 3 being so innovative and all? Stop trolling.

Im comparing it to whats already out on the market. Its still nothing new. As for console version of Crysis im meaning that they pretty much made it into cod. Took out the free roam, graphics, and stuff along those lines.
