Very impressive. The only "diferences" I see are the natural ones with how the 360 and PS3 handle brightness.
On the GT link, the only real difference I noticed was in the 1st comparison shadows. The shadows of the tree falling on the street looks slightly fuzzy on PS3, and more defined on 360, but I won't go so far as to say that one looks significantlyy better than the other. A tie, says I.
However, when talking about how Crysis will look in 3D, it's worth mentioning that the 360 will use the side-by-side 3D method, while the PS3 will feature native 3D. Conclusion: if you want full resolution 3D, get the PS3 version, because it will be double the resolution of the 360 version. (Not that anybody cares about 3D, especially360 loyalists:P.)

If that´s true, then im impressed! They look exactly the same!

They gimped the PS3 version down to the 360 version to make it look identical.[QUOTE="Zensword"][QUOTE="PAL360"]

No, I think it is China ;)
Its not the same picture. The explosion or fire ball or whatever that is is different in both pictures. So it may be from the same platform and taken milliseconds apart, but it is NOT the same picture. So they copied the same picture and posted in twice LOL

I actually checked and they are different images, but they are so similar as to necessitate checking.they look exactly the same except that the 360 version has slightly more detailed shadows. other than that, well done crytek.

It´s a fact no version is holding back the other. Identicle version on identicle hardware. Makes sense.

Not totally identical. You know, I really wish Crytech would just be honest and say "If you want the best shadows get the 360, but if you want the best 3D get the PS3". But noooooo, more marketing BS. Close... damn close... but not identical.
These are not ps3 and 360 screen shots, they are screen shots from the leaked PC version that a pirate tweaked to get the "console settings."
In other words, they aren't really useful at all.
Wouldn't surprise me. I hate the media blackout on bonafide PS3 images of the game.I wonder if the pop-in is as bad on both systems, or if one of the consoles handles that better.musicalmac
I'd say the 360 will work better because its more akin to PC hardware. Dev's never take the time to understand the cell or PS3 when going multiplat so thats why we get bad ports with crap loading times.Hence why PS3 exclusives always look far better than multiplat. The 360 versions always run smoothly but the PS3 version gets the stuttery mess. And no kids before you start bashing me its not because the PS3 is worse. Both systems are almost identicle its just money and time management.

Also the contrast seems better on the 360.Small but noticeable differences.
Well I'm off to bed,I let you guys chew over these. :P

Yet again us PS3 owners get stuck with a crappy port.

Humm...this is Crytek here so the 'crappy port' you are talking about will most likelly take 'full' advantage of PS3´s tech.

Its a proven FACT that multiplat developers cannot truly harness the power of the CELL.

Why not? There are good and bad third party devs aswell. Also many multiplats were already developped first on PS3 and then ported to 360 :|

Exactly, They never have the time or money to explore the tech properly. Im not saying its superior or inferior. Im simply saying that they never run as smooth as the 360 versions because of the different ways the cell processes stuff. So when its ported over it seems like the inferior version. Thats why most PS3 exclusives run smoother than the multiplats

Its obvious you don't understand just how powerful the CELL is. Its ok because most average men would have to spend a hundred lifetimes just to scratch the surface of the CELLS potential. A multiplat developer just isn't capable of mastering the CELL and its infifnite glory.

They gimped the PS3 version down to the 360 version to make it look identical. Except it doesn't look identical. The 360 version, even when it's just looking slightly better, proves you wrong. Please Log In to post.
