360 version appears to have better shadows, and what looks to be ambient occlusion.
But apart from that both look very similar. More similar than some other multiplats out there.

[QUOTE="ManicAce"]Like some have pointed out, those are PC screens taken at "supposed console settings"...from a beta, far from conclusive. It looks good though.Bus-A-Bus
Yes indeed, taken on PC.However, not "supposed console settings",they are indeed console settings.
How do you know? These could be what they were aiming for, or what they were at one point. Even after a game is released devs sometimes keep tweaking the performance, and Crysis 2 is still a month away.Wow, that's impressive, Crytek!
I wonder how pop-in will fair on both systems. The 360 MP demo had plenty of it :(. Hopefully, with the retail build, it's down to a minimum for both versions.

MP graphics are not comparable to SP graphics as confirmed by latest previews.Plus different studios develop them :)
I was trying really hard to spot the differences between the two systems.
And then I stopped because I realized I don't care what the two console versions look like because I'll be getting the proper version on the PC. :D
360 -
PS3 -
Also the contrast seems better on the 360.Small but noticeable differences.
Well I'm off to bed,I let you guys chew over these. :P
stvee101
Yep.
No suprises, teh PS3 gets another inferior multiplat. :)
[QUOTE="Zensword"][QUOTE="PAL360"]
If that´s true, then im impressed! They look exactly the same!
Locutus_Picard
The tree in 360 version looks slightly better. :D
They gimped the PS3 version down to the 360 version to make it look identical. LOL. Now tell us all how it really happened[QUOTE="stvee101"]

Going by pics it seems you are right but we have yet to see both versions in motion side by side.
from ps3/360 footage ive seen ps3 does appear to have less pop in, but why the **** would ps3 have less pop in when a dvd-rom is faster than blu ray for streaming content off the disk?Going by those pics, 360 seems to have more detailed shadows but for some reson i believe it will have more pop up. Both versions will probably have their pros and cons, still overall very indenticle. Good job Crytek.

That's not how games work.
Data is not streamed directly off the disk while the game is being played. It is preloaded into memory during loading sequences, and then referenced from memory.
Lol at the people who think there are any differences between the console versions.
Crytek knows what their doing, and they know people will complain about the graphics if one looks any different than the other.
So if anyone trys to claim ownage over the other, they are just making themselves look bad.
the ones where hes holding the grenade...it seems like there is a light source off screen on the 360 version thats not on the ps3 version...u can see it on the molding on the building in the distance...

They're not lights, just embers flying around.the ones where hes holding the grenade...it seems like there is a light source off screen on the 360 version thats not on the ps3 version...u can see it on the molding on the building in the distance...

360 version looks better... yet exlusive look better compared to anything on 360.. it makes no since other than ps3 is getting the most ported its way.

Its always been the case. Exclusives always look better because of the money and time pumped into them. But PS3 owners always get a shoddy port thats inferior. Portal 2 will be the exception. It sounds like its getting the better version
The gun models on the PS3 version look way better... just saying.Messiahbolical-
PS3 fanboyism at it's finest.looks liek the ps3 version runs smoother. the ps3 got the definitive version once again imho
