Crysis 2...possibly greatest soundtrack this gen?

The first game had a memorable theme and soundtrack. Crysis 2 seems to step it up even further. I personally find that most of my favorite games have a memorable theme to go by:)

I was very impressed by the soundtrack displayed in the beta. I think it is going to be top-notch.

Custom made? No, but definitely good. I like Darksiders and Blizzard soundtracks better. Oblivion's was nothing but quality also. I'd even rate the Ace Attorney series up with those games because its OST is nothing but quality. New Vegas and Brutal Legend have the best licenesed OST though.

EDIT: This is the same guy who did MW2's score? Wow...he definitely improved a lot. MW2 was too overdramatic and...well bad.

I was just listening to past gen games music and thinking how amazing some of it is. Music can really make all the difference in an experience, so I am glad to see crysis 2's appears to be top notch.

all ive heard is the stuff from the 360 beta (i dont want to listen to any more of it because ive decided to not look at any coverage until i play it, so excited) but yea, what ive heard is FANTASTIC. omg. and the menus are effing awesome.

Wow that was pretty good, but who knows if it will be the best soundtrack this gen. I doubt it could be Super Mario Galaxy, Nier, and Birth by Sleep.

It hasn't been formally announced who the actual composer is but he was confirmed to be the "Executive Score Producer" and at least he supervised the score. I would be willing to bet he composed it(has his style written all over it).

Edit - Actually his fansite lists him as composer of Crysis 2

I am liking the Warhead theme more than the Crysis 2 pieces. Hans Zimmer is all right, if a little overrated. We'll see what Clint Mansell does for ME3, then we'll talk;).

Its good but it doesn't top Nier imo.

Some of the music in-game is better. I was playing it and someone commented on how good the music was.

DBZ burst limit had the best track this gen imo

crysis 2 menu theme is pretty good tho

The first one sounds great. Hans Zimmer is one of my favorite modern composers.

This is the most beautiful piece of music I've heard this gen, Frank Klepacki > Hans Zimmer :)

First of all i am really getting tired of seeing people treating crysis 2 like its out already. I mean come on, sooner or later people will start throwing reviews around. Second the best soundtrack in this gen is mw2. End of story. Now those 2 tracks? The first was good but too long to get to the good parts. The second was freaking borring and i cant believe the comments in that video. Wish i had a youtube account to reply to them.
