Crysis flops on one count for me.

When you shoot an enemy and it dies, it gets glued to the ground, so you can't shoot it anymore....or you can but nothing will happen.

This kind of takes me out of the realism and is just silly.

When you kill an enemy it becomes untouchable.

:(

other than that it solid.

I know Crytek is based in Germany, which is strict on human defilation in post-nazi germany, but still it kind of sucks.

Meh who knows, it could not simply have been on for the demo.. Or it could be a simplistic setting change in options or an ini file...

That should be a fairly quick fix for modders. You can still move dead bodies if you throw stuff at them or if objects land on them, so I imagine it wouldn't take much to make it so that bullets still impact them. Would help the immersion.

I loved being able to toss dead bodies in HS, who knows maybe the final product will let you.

Well realistically, I would think shooting a human corpse doesn't actually make it flop around and slide on the ground. If anything blood should simply start bursting out along with chunks of human flesh, but I think german video game violence laws won't let Crytek do that (Crytek is a German developer). The fact that you can't pick up dead soldiers and throw them at living soldiers though is inexcusable!

An element of FPS games that's kinda bothered me since the introduction of ragdoll physics is that ALL corpses simply flop around when you shoot them these days, and it makes me miss the good ol days of Quake style gibbing. I think FEAR got the closest to what I wanted from dying enemies in that even though their bodies were controlled by physics, they woulld still have limbs blown apart or torsos cut in half by your weapons. What I really hope more developers do is physics controlled body parts from gibbed corpses. I want arms, legs and skulls flying realistically through the air leaving a mid-air trail of blood!

That is something I didn't like either but Crytek said they don't want to glorify violence..although it is hard not to when you toss people 30ft into the air. They didn't want to do it, not that they couldnt. I don't care about the effects of it but I would like to be able to drag the body away from the view of an enemy sometimes.

erm, shooting the soldiers when they are alive is not exactly much better of than shooting them while dead, is it?:|

lol. A corpse does not move when shot by a bullet. Maybe a slight jolt, MAYBE, but thats it. I admit Crysis is missing it, and it should be there, but having a corpse physically move when shot is not in any way realistic either.

I'm not talking about shooting a corpse and having it fly up in the air 20ft, but some realistic reactions or jerks would be nice
