You don't really need a quad core now. It is too expensive. I am just gonna get an AMD X2 4600+ or better, and I will be fine. I might get a quad-core after Crysis when it's cheaper, and you don't need a quad-core to run crysis.[QUOTE="SergeantSnitch"][QUOTE="daveg1"]then build one then....mediator.daveg1Lol, I might! if you build it the game will come. :D
Yea definitely. I'm going to wait for the game to release, then build one.i have my brother build my computer for me:oops:

Can u build me one toommogoonIt's actually not hard at all to build a computer.
Can u build me one toommogoonIt's not too hard. You can go to pc guide.com. They give good directions, I learnt alot from reading their site. And you can get a dell if you want, choose your parts, or go to Micro One computers on ebay. I hear they are very good, you can choose your parts, case, etc. They also seem to have good warranties (for a store on ebay), and if you know enough about PC's you can fix your own problems, and easily upgrade them.

I'm building one when Crysis comes out. I'm saving up,so that I can build one that can play on max settings, with all its glory.xLegend24The crysis recommended specs are not too bad. I can build a PC that can play Crysis for less than 1000 bucks.....but I am waiting for the right time to start building mine. Since I want to buy the 8800GTX, for a bit cheaper......but by then, ATI probably would have released their R600 series....and I will be torn :(
I think we all feel the same way. Now, if only it was that easy :S computer parts are so expensive now.youngthug69You can build a computer capable of playing crysis on recommended specs for not that much. But it is still good to wait since the rate at which PC components falter in price.

I don't mind the price as long as I get the best performance and graphics.

Then you can easily find that if you don't mind the price.....me, I am quite price-conscious, and I'm waiting for the price drops.[QUOTE="xLegend24"]The crysis recommended specs are not too bad. I actually built one for $1500 on cyberpowerpc a while back and it was really good, but I bet the prices have dropped a lot by now.

For all you tech wizs, I just have a question. I haven't been keeping up to date on graphics cards and I just noticed something. How does this double slot GPU fit on the case?Like a normal GPU would. It just takes 2 expansion slots....

my point is that a dx10 card isnt all that necessary for crysis, but will really increase the performance especially when running the game with anistrophic filtering or anti-aliasing or high resolution[QUOTE="SergeantSnitch"]It just looks so sexy.dimar19

That's where the motherboard goes, and you slide the GPU along that slots on the motherboard and notice the little opennings on the back of a gaming tower. Yeah, the DVI and TV-out jacks will show thru those slots. And no you don't need a seperate power supply, you need one to power both of them.

Why would anyone want to spend like $5,000 dollars for one game. Just buy a PS3 and you can get tons of games for only $600.kinqWell, firstly you really don't need to spend $5000 to get a PC capable of running Crysis well. In fact, you need to spend like under $1000. And the PS3 hardly has tons of games. Resistance and Motorstorm only? No thanks. The PC library absolutely destroys the PS3s.

PC's are not expensive as most think. You pay for more power.

Just buy a PS3 and you can get tons of games for only $600.kinqWhat an ignorant statement. 5,000 dollar PC's are the ones with unneeded components, like a PhysX card, and TWO 24" monitors, and 6 gigs of RAM, and 2 8800 GTX's. A PC that can MAX Crysis in Directx10 at 1600x1200 will cost you probably 1800 bucks, not 5000.
