Crysis still looks better than Uncharted 4 and Far Cry 4

I don't mind threads like this. But, geeez. Just grow up already and quit posting twinkies.

And yet I would never play any of those 3 games..... I assume the only reason people talk about their looks is because thats the game's best feature.

Nope. They're all fun to me. Graphics are the icing to the cake.

Hasn't Crysis got a Gamespot review score higher then any PS4 and Xbone game released to date?

And the problem with Crysis is the ambient occlusion, it's just VERY basic by today's standards and it shows, changing and modding the time of day can help but it's not a 100% fix.

I wouldn't call Crysis or Warhead ugly but they are no longer the best looking, but they did hold that crown for quite some time.

Given it's age Crysis still looks great for a 7 year old game. Crysis 3 is king for now.

Here is a video I took of Crysis a few years back. I could of made it look even better with more mods but I just used a compiled package.

Ever heard of ANTI-ALIASING!?

The game didn't support transparent AA so things like foliage had no AA even when you had 16xAA (I was using 4xMSAA in the video).

Although there are ways to force AA coverage on foliage these days that weren't available when I made my video.

I could make another video of Crysis with my SLI 970s at 1440p with all the most demanding mods and forced AA to cover foliage but that would take time and I don't want to waste that time right now.

No. Maybe through extensive modding and ToD screenshots, but Crysis is outdated now. You may have had an argument with Crysis 3... That's more reasonable.

If one contends that comparing finished games to an alpha is reasonable.

There is also that caveat. Uncharted 4 is gonna be a looker... No two-ways about it.

The fact that people were itching to compare first ever playable footage to whatever game they could throw out there is more of a condemnation of the poster than the game.

Crysis is probably going to end up playing better than both of them too, already half way there.

But Crysis gameplay is boring. Judging from peoples YouTube videos they don't make it past the first few minutes of the game.

What are you talking about? The gameplay is good. I see YT videos from all the levels of Crysis. Some of them are almost an hour long.

Well you're not helping your case. The video you showed has better lighting than anything we've seen of Uncharted 4. The textures are lower res though.

The screenshots are actually unmodded. As much as I disliked OP over here. He may not be that off point.

Except Crysis doesn't look as good as FC4 or UC4.
