Crysis who? (graphics related)

Yes, you were. You are obviously lieing. I played Crysis with a mix of high/very high settings, with no AA. My frame rate would vary, and it still looked light years beyond anything a console can produce. Someone who says they can tweak out a computer like you said you did should be able to figure out how to use Prnt Scrn, and post a pic on the internet. RE5 doesn't even look close, no 360 or PS3 game does. Just stop already. mazdero

my thoughts exactly... well not exactly though i agree it has great character models but the environments look average/bland and surely RE5 is not visually impressive as many believe (saying RE5 is the new console graphics king) just because an exclusive game out on a specific console is shortly coming out which the media is saying as visually the best thing out on consoles... (if you know what i mean :P)

Wait your saying you can play Crysis at 1920x1080 at Very High Settings with 4x Anti-Aliasing Enabled? Yeah, I will believe it when I see it. Anyone who has played Crysis at those settings knows that Resident Evil 5 on a console doesn't even come close to that.

Give me a 3DMark Vantage score (Link to your score) and then, maybe, maybe I will believe you about how well you can play Crysis.

look bro i really dont care if u believe me or not im jus sayin my opinion. im not even sayin re5 is a good game (its actually really clumsy feeling) if i turn on my xbox and switch between the both of them re5 looks better... and ive never ran vantage but in 06 i was just shy of 19k good frames in crysis arnt really that hard people try to turn it in to the holy grail..i did it on parts i bought a year ago(minus the aa maxed) i gave my other card to my brother since then because it want necessary and he is broke

My specs are AMD Athlon X2 5600, 4gb of ram, 2 8800 Gt's in sli. I can only run Crysis at 1280x1024 high settings with no aa and actually turn 2 of the settings to medium. I bumped it to very high settings for this screenshot and 4x AA at 1280x1024 res and this is the results.

1) You have to edit your post because you have commited a TOS violation. You need to edit replace all the letters in that banned word with *, just like I did when I edited your post myself above.

2) Have you been on SW lately? There have been DOZENS of "X console game looks better than Crysis." And quite frankly, I am sick ad tired of them. The numbers speak for themselves and anyone who ignores the numbers are trying to convince themselves of something not true.

3) If Crysis character models had more polygons than RE5 models, I am not going to claim they look better. they just don't. The same applies to EVERYTHING about RE5.

before getting to crysis, please, RE5, get to dead space wont ya? (1680x1050, ingame AA enabled max settings, but il try to force 4XAA through CCC....)

Actually.... no it cant i tried.. the second pic was made before the game and it requires a ridiculous high amount of dynamic lighting to look like that.. judging by how much dynamic lighting makes saints row 2 to lag...id say that pcs aint capable of that yet... but dont think consoles do the trick neither assassin creed or gears of war have dynamic lighting....at all :(

Very High IS in XP, Ultra is not.

EDIT: Apparently, I was wrong, I have never played Crysis on XP, but I though XP had VH settings, but I just looked it up and it can only be used in XP with a mod / tweak.

you need to download the ultra map..... ultra was firstly found out when a russian designer was screwing with the command lines on very high that so in what density the effects will be used, and high and very high simply sets some effects from on to off.... But only the 4870 icq has shader model 4 not the simple version...
