Crysis: Worth the Buy?

It's better than any console shooter I've ever played :)

I bought it to benchmark my new pc, heard about it being a decent shooter but being more about the graphics.

But when i first played it i absolutely loved it, definetly one of the best shooters of recent times.

Get the game,it´s one of the best FPS´s ever made.

Lolwut.

The only thing the original Crysis had over Warhead was a longer campaign and, of course, being the first game there was no bar to set. Apart from that, Warhead schooled Crysis in pacing, A.I (the aliens are sooo much better in Warhead), set-pieces, presentation, and just general awesomeness. It made the original look like an overly elaborate work-in-progress.

Man you and JangoWuzHere musn't have played both games through entirely. I mean, the last third of the game botched any chances the original game has over Warhead, especially when Warhead's finale actually left on a good note.

You can run and gun in Delta. I played the demo and the full game. I was well into Recovery before I even knew I was supposed to have a cloak. That's what Happens when I just jump right in without reading instructions. Then after that, I didn't realize I had a combat and sniper scopes until Awakening was almost over....again failure to read adequately the instructions.

Yes Ι have played both games through entirely, the original crysis 7 times and the Warhead 3 times so I know very well which game is better...

I agree. The last section of Warhead was really epic. There's aliens everywhere, a huge storm appoaching, Koreans trying to fight and failing... and you just get out your nifty PAX Cannon and blow the crap out of them. Then, of course, this giant walker climbs over the mountain and starts shooting at you. Wasn't really as hard as I thought it would be, though.

Yea so true. How can u not kno their is cloak when u try the special abilities all of them show up. You can so not run and gun

if you like FPS gameplay youll like crysis's gameplay. theres no way you cant. since you choose how to play.

you can hate the story , you can hate the setting, you cant hate the gameplay without hating yourself.

and yes its worth the buy unless you NEED a good story

And no. I'm not that good.........yet. But no cloak all the way through at Delta? It might be worth a try.

One of the best shooters out there to play, and as good as the greats; Halo, Half-Life, Team Fortress, etc....

(Although Some would say that it's even better, but that's their opinion, and not mine).....

Dont listen to the haters, this game is good looking and good playing. The only real grudge i have against it is that you only have US and NK Assault rife, UZI, Pistols, Sniper rifle, Shotgun, Missle Launcher and the 2 alien weapons.

A little gun diversity wouldnt hurt.

And if you bought your computer right now, and its eaven a half decent gaming comp (8800GT, mid range dual core, 2 gigs RAM) it will run great.

Overall its one of the best games out there this gen.

And if possible get the Warhead expansion, it realy improves MP.

not at all. but if you have a good pc its nice too look at and play around with

Yes the game is worth it. While you are at it, pick up Warhead. Read almost any review out there and they will talk about how the gameplay, sound design, physics, level design, and of coarse the graphics are all top notch. The game is one of the best shooters of the past few years and also one of the best PC games. Do not listen to those people that say all the game has is graphics because they have never played it or have way too high of standards. If you need more convincing, just go play the demo.

What would me being a "fanboy" have to do with my dislike for a one game? I've played Crysis plenty, and it is terrible. The game play is not "unique," and even if a video game has "unique gameplay," that does not mean it is a good video game. Lots of games look great this generation... and I'm sorry, on low settings it does not look that "great."stiggy321

Just because he didn't like it doesn't meant the game is terrible. I didn't like MGS4, but I won't say "Don't buy this piece of garbage, it sucks ****!" to everyone who never played the game, because it got good reviews and deserves to be called a "good game" even if I didn't like it myself.
