Kind of funny how the roles are reversed then. COnsole gamers always complained when PC gamers used mods but that is what they are doing now. Crysis 1 on consoles is a heavily modified form of the PC Crysis 1.in b4 someone uses a mod to make Crysis look better. even though it has no place being here

but it wasn't done by a modder. meaning you are seeing and playing the game as planned

graphical mods dont change the game play usually just better textures and lighting[QUOTE="gamer-adam1"]but it wasn't done by a modder. meaning you are seeing and playing the game as plannedRyviusARCIt is still modified. Crytek were the modders. Don't try to change the definition.
they still made the game, its like saying most games are Mods, because lots of games use a modified verison the of game engine

It has nothing to do with the defitinion. Comparing modded version of a game to another is like comparing bullshots. Most people aren't playing the game modded and that's not how the games looks right out of the box.

xbox version doesnt look so bad. perhaps it look better in motion. not sure why pc owners are complaining. must be higher standards I think

they complain because their best looking PC game is not exclusive
OK...ONE of their best looking PC games
they complain because their best looking PC game is not exclusive OK...ONE of their best looking PC gamesgamer-adam1Nah they are just comparing because the Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said the console version looked better than the PC version. We are just pointing out his lies.
I some how doubt a bulk of PC gamers go out of their way to modify a mostly single player oriented game that they'll probably play once and be done after one play through.[QUOTE="vashkey"][QUOTE="RyviusARC"] Actually I think the majority of people play Crysis modded. Modding is one of the most popular things with PC gaming.peterw007
Very true. Gamers only mod Crysis for bragging rights and eye-candy.
People only use mods extensively in multiplayer + expansive, long-running single-player games.
*looks at the dozens of custom maps installed in crysis* Yup, play once and forget it.../sarcasm[QUOTE="gamer-adam1"]they complain because their best looking PC game is not exclusive OK...ONE of their best looking PC gamesRyviusARCNah they are just comparing because the Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said the console version looked better than the PC version. We are just pointing out his lies. and the consolites jumped on the bandwagon espacially on the overdone bloom = looks better... people should know better devs lie to increase hype.

We are just pointing out his lies. that and his strategy is moronic....make a crysis sequel? Cool! Then he goes and makes it multiplat... ok, fair.....but what about the consolites who cant play crysis 1? Why should they bother with Crysis 2? Ok, we'll completley butcher the gameplay and storyline and multiplayer in favorite of reaching a huge audience. Well, looks like it didnt get the attention and sales we wanted...better go make a quick buck and butcher crysis 1 for consoles....right, because making a port of a 4 year old PC game after you already made a sequel is a good plan.... Yerli is an idiot.

This is still going on? Seriously? Console users without a gaming PC get to experience Crysis and now we're back on 2007! Most people know that PC games will always look better, no need to post this AGAIN, the console version looks fine.
To hide teh flaws.mitu123
I must say: I would rather see them flaws than have my eyes bleed due to over-excessive bloom...
Man I want Crysis just to actually see if in action, but why the game is still $30 on Steam is beyond me.
Edit: Of course it's on sale today isn't it >.>. Worth the $7.50? And Warhead for $5?

Don't try to change the definition. emm no, the definition of mod when it comes to a game mod is the addition of extra code to change how the game's original code. console crysis is not a crysis mod, its console crysis
[QUOTE="mattuk69"]The funny thing is the PC shot is not even on high. Look at his cloths.RyviusARCHere is a screenshot from the PS3 version. Superior textures :) what? thats not even close to medium pc settings, do you at least know what textures are?
