It's not Crytek's fault that the current-gen consoles don't have the RAM required to run Crysis properly.

Even counting the RAM use by background programs and the Operating System where a console minimizes RAM consumption, it's still not enough.

No. What they said is that the Crysis trilogy will be exclusive to PC, but every IP after Crysis is going to be multiplat on consoles (with PC as the lead development platform, of course).

Anyway, TC, the first "Stupidity or laziness" thread wasn't funny, so copying it to try and make a fad isn't a very good idea. 

They are not dumb,  that's why they will release Crysis 1.1 on the next Xbox's launch.

On older gpu architectures the AA showed a very big performance hit, on nowadays gpu's not so much.

If next-gen consoles will be so weak that the only thing they will be able to provide at launch will be the level of graphics PC did 5 years earlier, only a bit smoother and in higher res... then the next-gen will be one huge embarasment.

It would be like putting Return to Castle Wolfenstein as 360 launch title and then getting excited that it runs in high-res and 8xAA

As good as Crysis looks now, by the time next-gen will launch this level of graphics will be at best mediocre and will look downright ugly compared to other launch games, no matter in how high res you put it or how much AA you apply onto it

Interesting enough... I can't test with Dx10, since I only have XP. And that's BTW Crysis and not Crysis Warhead that's btw better coded.

The X1800xt released 1 or 2 months before the Xenos. the specs are the same (TMU's, ROP's), the Xenos just had slightly lower clocks.
