Tom gives good reviews and isn't afraid to score accordingly. PS fanboys just don't like him because he doesn't give their games a blind pass like some reviewers on this site.

sure i could take Last of Us, he took one small section of Left Behind and criticised it just because of that. Last of Us had too little sympathetic characters, when the whole world is dark and sad. Also calling the visuals for mundane is silly aswell. He also said there were a lot of times he felt there were so many exploits and bugs aswell. Also the video review was lazy.

Tom is pretty good in reviewing games.

So I would like him to review more games. (And actually some more non exclusive games.)

I'm playing Infamous SS right now and it's a damned good game...but not a great game. I'll admit that the cow in me got a little ticked at McShea when I initially saw the rating he gave it. However, after having played SS for several hours now, I believe he gave the game the score it deserves, which, in the end, is a very good score, lest we forget.

I don't mind him too much. I can usually see why he reviews a games the way he does

Quite frankly, I don't like ANY of the reviewers on this website. I don't agree with any of the reviews they have done. I have nothing in common with them. They don't like the games I like and I hate the games they like. So I go elsewhere for my reviews. The best thing to do is find a reviewer that has similar tastes in gaming to you.

People like Tom McShea are just trolls who bash games to get page hits. Or they overpraise terrible games for page hits. I cringe when I read his reviews because his opinions are so off the mark. Plus the man does not act like a professional. I have seen videos of him and he dresses in old football shirts and jogging pants. He just screams like he is a lazy hater and does not care about his job.

I hope he McShea's Mario Kart 8 just to shut up all those morons who hyped the game to be AAAAE.

And me? I'm indifferent towards McShea. My tastes in games and things I focus on isn't the same as him. But I've said it once and I'll say it again: the people who hate McShea for giving scores they don't agree with are obviously annoying, but it's just as annoying to see the people praise him as being the only journalist to have the balls to speak the truth. Honestly, just stfu.

Silly me. Thank you so much for you invaluable insight. All problems I have in the future will be ignored as that is the best thing to do, especially on an internet forum where you go to express opinions.

Nothing wrong with Tom McShea. His detractors are just butthurt because hey think certain games are entitled to certain scores. If you left those so-called problematic reviews exactly the same but made the scores much higher, the butthurt would cease immediately.

TLOU is not the most critically acclaimed game of Gen 7, but it shouldn't matter even if it was. You seem to think certain games are entitled to certain scores and that's not true.

It has picked up more awards then any other game in 2013 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_of_Us#Awards) So it's not at all bad.

Also my opinion of what those games should have scored isn't down to what I thought they were "entitled to" it is down to playing all 3 through numerous times and forming an opinion based on doing that.

I've read a lot of Tom's reviews. Some I've agreed with and other I've not. That doesn't detract from the fact that I THINK he is a bad reviewer. For example, I fully agree with his score of 8/10 for InFamous: SS. That score was bang on the money. I still thought his actual review of the game was complete trash though.
