ray tracing been around a very long time. and real time stuff takes super computer lvl to do in real time.

vrx company have to do it frame by frame... which takes time and money.

Both pre rendered and real time are calculated frame by frame. Not like someone goes in there manually frame by frame, it's not roto work (which even that is becoming more automated), it's just settings my guy.

The game has 10000x the scope of TLOU2. I would hope TLOU2 looks at least somewhat better in some aspects. It's the mix of scope, game detail, AND gfx which is why CDRP gets praise.

Compare it to other open world games.

Best looking console game isn't saying much. ND isn't getting the praise you ask for because several games already look better, including ones with larger scope.

Everything other than MAYBE character models (debatable) in CP certainly looks better. It is easily overall better looking than anything on PS4 PRO.

CDPR: shows off a game running $3000 PC hardware with the graphics of a base PS4 game then later makes it look on par X1X / PS4 Pro game like Days Gone, Gears 5, Death Stranding.

Any version of CP looks significantly better than anything on base PS4. The upgraded version looks better than anything on PS4PRO in most regards.

Either way I fully expect PC to be gfx king next gen much like it is this gen.

I think they'll be more amazing in the long run. Something about PPP/GPD and probably what's been happening with cdpr hiring from certain countries. Easter talents are gonna be good enough for way, way cheaper.
