i've had to malfunctioning 360's and all my friends have had a malfunctioning at least once except for the newer models.
December of 2006 is when I got my 360. It RROD'd in August of 2007 while playing Bioshock. That is the only system I have owned that has malfunctioned. I also own a Wii (since launch) and a PS3 (since December 2009).cametall
Thank you cametall for actually reading and responding like I asked.
I wish there were more like you.
My brother got a 360 a few months after launch because he wanted something to hold him over until the PS3, and them it came with the RROD... in the box.
After he got his PS3, he never touched it again. Besides for ODST. He borrowed it, and couldn't play it for more than an hour. I'm pretty sure if he played it as often as his PS3, it would have broke a second time.

That's a great story and experience.
I'm just hoping that you voted correctly, awssk8er716.
According to you, You yourself never owned an XBOX 360. Vote for that one please. Thank you. :)
Had a launch 360, got RROD when the first bioshock was released. On my 2nd now but its one of the old loud models so im selling it with some games to get an elite. Plus being old it could RROD on me at anytime, must dispose of it quickly :P
My PS3 had DRE early last year but found a local console repairer to fix it for alot cheaper than Sony quoted.
Only thing that hasnt malfunctioned on me is the Wii, last gen tech is more reliable i guess :P
If you actually want a decent result, remove the poll since the cows/fanboys are gonna comeand mess it up93soccer
I think the truth will find its way.
Just give it time.
I was hoping I would get something like 300+ voters here.
How come more people don't "rock the vote"? :(
I used to co-own a 360 which started scratching up discs so we brought it back to where we bought it and got a new one and theye ven replaced the games.
I'm on my 3rd Xbox. First two died, traded in my old one for a newer model which has worked great since Dec 08.
Oh yes, my first two PS3s were defective with their HDMI ports. My first PS2 also died with a DRE problem. My current PS3 is facing the network failure that some how messes up your single player gaming of doom.
Xbox has the rrod. it effects 1 console. You ps3 fanboys have a problem which knocks out as many as possible in one go. LOL
The real shame is I own both so now only 1 works properly. Come on sony, stop being sh*t. You have the technology, put simply, use it
Yes, my first Xbox360 went RROD on my ass after 1.5 years of service. :( Now if my new Jasper one fails, I'm getting a PS3(I'm going to do that sometime in the future anyway). I'm actually surprise that it hasn't come to haunt the box sales-wise, you'd think people would be more concious of stuff like this.. but hey, as long as it's a good console in terms of games/online functions, it'll sell, I guess.
My Halo 360 from '07 has never malfunctioned, even after I knocked it over when it was vertical.
Since cows are the majority here I doubt this poll means much.
