looool that was funny as hell :D !
Yeah, especially when you manage to spell "Headshot" wrong, and that you manage to find a father shooting a sun in the head something to joke about. :|
Sicko.
Maybe you need to step off your high horse this a gaming forum people come here to joke about and have fun... Not be critizied by you so I think you should GTFO. Morals do not belong in system wars.
So, then, by this logic, we can label 9/11 as CJ from Grand Theft Auto driving a jet into a building?
Video games do not promote violence.. This is a misnomer.. For one violent crimes are actually DOWN and reducing even further as each year passes.

Exactly... Jack Thompson's argument is being furthered by people like him who think gamers should have no morals. Keep in mind that morals are reserved for everybody everywhere, not just outside of this website.

I second this, or third or whatever.
This makes no sense, why would you do either of these things, ask your dad to shoot you, or more importantly, shoot your son because he asked.
The father must have been emotionally troubled or unaware of what he was doing. When I read that the kid had divorced parents, it seemed obvious that his father must have been mentally unstable or very lonely. I don't mean to generalize, but alot of divorced families suffer from domestic violence.

Who cares what Jack Thompson thinks.. People some how think this guy is going to defie the constiution? He has been laughed out of court every time before he could even finish his opening statement.
Not to mention Rockstar has embarrassed him on numerous occassions by releasing the childish emails he writes to them constantly. People just need to ignore him because in the end he has no power to do a single thing thats legal with in the United States.

Lol you guys are hilarious I wasnt Saying gamers in general no im just saying on here their comments dont matter if he said that joke to my face I wouldve knocked him out. But on gamespot there is no use Trying to inflict sense upon them now probably you have a better understanding on what I meant.
What a great time for this to happen, while Clinton and that Obama guy are vying for the hearts of Americans. Watch at least one of them latch onto this case like the parasitic leeches that they are.
covhunter
 neither canidate shares Thompsons approach on banning video games. Infact the only thing Clinton has done about video games is trying to improve the ESRB by enforcing it.. Meaning in the end she wanted the ESRB to be upheld so M rated games and above for instance can not be sold to kids below 17 years old.. Why is this a problem>?

Obama? A parasitic leech?!
You just burned my soul.
Giving someone who is pissed off a gun and telling them to shoot You, no matter who it is, is just not the greatest idea ever.
They shouldn't have had a gun in the first place.
And it was loaded?
Crazy people..
KungfuKitten
lol my thought exactly on the gun being loaded.
so let me get this straight the thing that you pick up on isthe 360 not the fact that people have a gun lying around the house
 america really needs to get into the 21st century and realise that they are not "oppressed" by a "tyrannous"king (if a small tax rise can be called oppression  )any more and get guns out of your society

It's politics, they'll say whatever it takes to gain votes. Very few leaders actually do what they say they will when in power. Perhaps deep down they don't believe in Jack's psychotic ramblings but if it'll get them that crucial few votes they'll pretend they do.

The father must have been emotionally troubled or unaware of what he was doing. When I read that the kid had divorced parents, it seemed obvious that his father must have been mentally unstable or very lonely. I don't mean to generalize, but alot of divorced families suffer from domestic violence.
While I agree that the fact the parents are divorced be evidence of some sort of instability, my parents are divorced, my best friend and roomate's parents are divorced, every single one of my aunts on my mom's side are divorced, and probably about 70% of my frinds parents are divorced, yet none of us have ever dealt with domestic violence. When 50% of first marriages end in divorce and 70% of second marriages, itsounds likeyou're saying most of those people are dealing with domestic violence. I would correct this statement by saying that the fact the parents are divorced may show some sort of causal relationship between that fact and recent events, it is by no means conclusive. Further, if onereads what the mother and ex-wife say it seems pretty obvious that these are not common actions by either the son or father.
It may have more to do with a teenager being an overly emotional pain in the butt, whose frustrated father tries to teach him a lesson with an unloaded gun, that unfortunately turned out to be loaded.

Whoa, wait - what?? People who get divorced are mentally unstable? Have you even been outside before? Interacted with other human beings? I know loads of people who have come from seperated parents and both them and their kids are perfectly fine. That entire paragraph you just wrote was contradictory. It's obvious that this family was mentally unstable but don't lump anyone else into that freakshow.
He wanted his dad to look at the 360? That caused an argument? Wa wa wee wa?_en1gma_
If this happened in a Bigger City it might not of made it on the news, but because this happened in a Rural Area (Like a Small town) it makes the news.

If he'd had Quad Damage the kid would be dead. But seriously speaking, you only get to shout "BOOM HEADSHOT" when the person dies.[QUOTE="JetB1ackNewYear"]omg wow i live like 30 mins from that place ahah!ski11buzz
where do you live?
like near scranton wilkes barre area?
That has nothing to do with the Xbox itself, and everything to do with what generally happens when you give overly emotional teenagers and stupid parents firearms.
"Told him to shoot him"?
The fact that an arguement over an Xbox could have the kid escalade into that shows he's just as uncontrollable as the father.
