DAMN CRYSIS just got some competition from ps3

Oh come on, man, lol. The 360 is the only logical comparison for the PS3, and yes I completely agree that some games that are getting ready to be released are going to be easily graphically superior to what the 360 has had so far. But to go after a game that looks like Crysis....just no.

While I certainly think that games like Haze, Uncharted, and Heavenly Sword can hold their own in that they will still look great next to Crysis.....it will still be evidently clear that Crysis is still on another level. Because it just is....end of story, man. I am a huge supporter of the PS3, and the 360 as well for that matter....but I am also a realist, lol. Crysis is the graphics God right now.

Are you serious lol, HAZE is running on the CRYEngine 1...I am not going to believe this 100% but if true lol thats funny. Not saying HAZE looks like Far Cry or worse just very ironic for this thread if thats the case.

Haze doesn't run on the CryEngine1... It runs on Conspire, an engine FRD made specifically for the game...

Haze is multiplatform. Confirmed. 

I actually could care less about Haze or Crysis. Graphics isn't the only thing that makes a game fun. There are way to many graphic whores in these forums who think just because a game looks good, that it will play just as good. Sorry, but it doesn't always work that way. Let's way for both games to be completed before we judge. Both games may end up sucking, who knows.

Nice find.  Yeah its about time to end this thread.  Haze looks good, but it is not as good looking as Crysis.  I could argue from what I have seen that Crysis will easily be one of the most fun FPS experiences any of us have ever had...

  ....  Its fools like this that give PC gaming a bad name.. You do not need to spend 2 grand to make a system that will be able to play Crysis on fantastic settings.  3/4's and even half that price will make a system that can easilly play the game if you actually research and spend wisely.. And build your computer.. Not just that but a computer is also used for things other then gaming...

@ Not-a-stalker.

The models are impressive, but the landscape is a perfect example of limitation.

btw, not all PC gamers think HL2 looks better, it clearly doesnt, and I expect HAze to look better than a 4 year old game by any means.

BUT in my opinion they wont pull off the same success as Timesplitters, they should of continued that, this looks like a blatant Quake Wars look alike with possible very old gameplay (I dont care if enemies bounce grenades, thats not done in games for reasons.)

Lucky for me computers are my hobby, and I get top of the line Intel procs for really cheap, so Crysis is definitely in my horizon once it comes out.  I can play Crysis on my comp with 26" LCD, or Haze on my PS3 with a 97" Screen from my projector.  I can hook the PC up to my projector but I don't feel like laying on my bed with a KB/M trying to play a FPS.

Sitting a foot and a half from a 19" monitor gives the same experience as 10 feet from a 50" tv. Good try.

and im not using gears because thats just a small game with small maps with nothing going on on screen and its way to dark

Yet you compare Haze, a small game with linear gameplay and enviroments, to Crysis, a HUGE open-ended island with fully destructible and realistic enviroments. You just got self-owned...

If you are typing on SW right now, then you already have a monitor (unless you are using a laptop). Most people have monitors already, but most people don't have HDTV's. Monitors with HD resolutions have been out for eh, about a freakin decade.

First off.. who says bucko?

Secondly, Haze looks nice but nowhere near as good as Crysis.

And thirdly, you don't need a 2000 dollar machine to play PC games, why do people think that. And don't say you need 2000 dollars to have those graphics either because you absolutely do not.

looks like they went crazy with the bloom. This gen is the rise of the Crows. Make it shiney and everyone thinks its frickin awesome!!! The game does look good though i just hope they tone down the ultrabright look that it has right now.

Hate to tell you, but Crysis can support DX10. (In other words if you max it out it is just a small sample of the real detail DX10 can support) :(

So nope the one sec a ps3 game has better graphics than crysis, there will already be another pc game out with better detail the that ps3.

Haze is only a timed exclusive for 2007, it's coming to 360 and PC as well. And there really is nothing out there as good looking as Crysis, no matter how hard you try you won't find it,

Unreal tournement 3 looks amazing but it's still not as good as Crysis graphically. Gameplay wise Crysis might stink, we'll just have to wait and see, Farcry was good but not that good.
